Responsibilities You will work directly with the Manufacturing organization to help analyze and understand the financials behind their actual, forecast, budget and long range plan. It is critical to demonstrate strong communication skills and be a strong team player with the ability to work independently. You will be able to apply your analytical skills, and share financial outcomes within the Lilly finance organization in Indianapolis and non-finance managers.
This position is a key professional position supporting the Manufacturing and TSMS departments($75M in annual expense). This includes helping to develop the forecast and business plan and then analyzing the actual results to understand the variances and explaining the variances within the Finance organization locally and at Lilly Corporate, Accounting and Site Management.
Accountable for financial reporting around the site’s cost of goods produced in Branchburg site ($125-150M annually); inventory on the balance sheet and manufacturing variances on the income statement. Also, you will be responsible for developing the site’s standard costs. This includes working with Procurement and Operations Planning to coordinate the input, calculation and storage of the master data in our instance of SAP. You will have the key responsibility for communicating standard costing details with Lilly Tax and Lilly Manufacturing Finance.
The Associate Director will be the central point of contact for maintaining and updating SOX documentation around the site’s inventory controls, and key point of contact for Sox audits internally and externally.
- You will be representative of Finance on the Supply Chain Flow Team and off line process team in Branchburg.
The Associate Director of Finance also will be integral for the Branchburg financial integration project. As such, understand and integrate into different Lilly integration team workflows and activity timelines and influence other technical and business staff for a successful product costing integration.
- You will be able to be a proactive player in anticipating and resolving complex product costing issues leading to an efficient overall integration project. Make decisions that optimize solutions across financial components and various business geographies. Note that this portion of the job will be temporary and will conclude once the integration is complete.
Bachelor's degree (e.g Accounting and/or Finance) with minimum 5 years industry experience (e.g costing, manufacturing finance, SAP financial program integration)

Experience with SAP required
Solid understanding of Mfg Finance processes and management reporting with prior site manufacturing financial experience preferred
Deep Expertise with SAP and SAP data structure related to materials, costing, inventory valuation and management reporting.
Financial controls knowledge.
