Responsibilities The US MCE Team was created to unify the pursuit of evolving our marketing approach focused on the healthcare professional through Multi-Channel Engagement efforts across all US business units. The vision is to create an industry leading MCE marketing competency that utilizes the modern mix of communication channels, creates a more relevant and impactful integrated customer experience, and drives business results.

This role will put a successful candidate on the cutting edge of modern technology, innovation and major pharmaceutical brand strategy to deliver the right information to the right customer, at the right time, in the right channel with a positive customer experience.

This position reports into the MCE Team and will modernize our US marketing processes and technologies to support the transformation to our new commercial model including customer centric integrated multi-channel campaigns. This person will be responsible for advancing critical capabilities in the areas of content management, campaign management, consent management and key critical channels. This person will partner closely with several functions including marketing, IT, data/analytics, marketing operations, regulatory and others. This person will also be responsible for critical external relationships with key partners to realize these capability advancements. For the following capabilities listed below, this person will serve as the voice of the business for the US affiliate in partnership with IT and other functions to continue to shape, refine, and drive the roadmaps to advance the organization and support the transformation of the go-to-market business model.

The primary capabilities for focus include:

  • Consent: Define a holistic consent strategy to enable integrated campaigns and provide seamless customer experiences. Create and lead an operational plan for the US for consent management that ties directly into other capabilities and global platforms. This capability will include other functional areas such as medical and sales.

  • Content: Solidify the US market vision for content management to support brand/MCE campaigns. Lead the operational plan for marketing on how to create & implement an operational model for utilizing modular or “atomic” content. Drive improvements to the management and application of content such that it can be re-used and tailored to deliver business results and improve the customer experience. Partner with Project Matrix to ensure alignment on future approval processes. Determine phased implementation plan that will ultimately include the entire US affiliate commercial brands, including all customer groups.

  • Campaign: Advance the campaign management vision working with IT and other functions. Lead the operational plan across the US market for applying campaign management capabilities to US brands as part of MCE. Guide from a business perspective the building of the infrastructure that will allow for the deployment of more efficient and integrated campaigns and lays the foundation for predictive and automated campaigns.

  • Channels: Lead the advancement of critical channel capabilities with emphasis on Electronic Health Records (EHR). A strong service set for brands exists today that needs guidance to implement through others. Also, this person will lead the ongoing expansion of EHR capabilities to support brands in a changing landscape to meet customer needs and opportunities.

  • Management of key external partnerships: This person will be responsible for managing key external partnerships to support these capabilities including agencies, specialty partners, and technology partners.

  • Actively contribute to innovating and evolving MCE capabilities to advance our pursuit of an industry leading MCE competency core towards our 2020 marketing vision

  • Stay abreast of external trends to influence Lilly USA’s MCE marketing strategy and platformsLead through barriers and proactively seek solutions to enable team and MCE vision to be successful

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 5+ years in Digital Marketing or Information Technology-related fields with a focus on solution delivery and solution / platform integration

  • Demonstrated ability within the last 2 years to create and imbed new organizational capabilities

  • Demonstrated understanding of the technical architecture associated with multi-channel marketing within the last 2 years
