Responsibilities Lilly has the potential to significantly improve the lives for patients suffering from two chronic, debilitating conditions – migraine and cluster headache. The absence of an approved preventative therapy for cluster combined with the inadequate options available patients heightens the responsibility for Lilly to deeply understand the customers suffering from these conditions in order to offer solutions that better meet their needs. Galcanezumab, a CGRP mAb, has demonstrated robust efficacy and tolerability in migraine prevention in Phase 3 trials for the prevention of migraine and hopefully with cluster headache as it currently in phase 3. Galcanezumab will be submitting for regulatory approval in the US and OUS the very near future with launches starting the following year. In late 2017, the global team paused work on Europe given the challenging regulatory and payer environment, however, in light of the strong data and anticipated regulatory submissions the global Galcanezumab team will be ramping up efforts to revisit the business opportuny and prepare for launch outside the US.

Responsibilities: This high profile global role will be responsible for the successful launch in all OUS geographies. This will be a critical role as many of the affiliate needs have not yet been considered in the overall plan given the priority focus on the US market. This role will be accountable for the adaptation of and implementation of the following key deliverables; global patient journey, HCP campaign, and DSE campaign. A key dimension of this job will be in the associates ability to deeply understand customer and affiliate needs to inform the strategy and enable a successful launch. Timelines are moving very quickly, with relatively little work done to date, as such this person will need to be comfortable working in a fast paced and high pressure environment to understand the affiliate needs and create solutions under quick timelines.

Objective 1: Partners with affiliates to create marketing tactics for Galcanezumab - Patient Journey, Global HCP Campaign, Disease State Education, etc (60%)

  • Responsible for supporting the development of the global and regional patient journey

  • Manages the agency relationships responsible for the development of key global marketing campaigns

  • Supports the global adaptation of the HCP campaign and disease state education and accompanying tactics

  • Leads the development of global materials to support onboarding and launch readiness

  • Develops and leads an affiliate team who will support the development of key marketing materials

  • Is seen as the GO-TO person for the core global brand materials for Galcanezumab

Objective 2: Leads the implementation of the global Galcanezumab brand planning process (20%)

  • Is accountable for supporting the global brand planning process in collaboration with the global brand director (planners meetings)

  • Understands and champions affiliate needs and is able to operate effectively across cultures and functions

  • Communicates the brand strategy in a clear and meaningful way

  • Serves as the brand point person for the international regional leads

  • Provides inputs and partners with global brand director on the business planning process to ensure all OPEX and affiliate needs are integrated

  • Works cross-functionally within the global team and across affiliates to optimize materials and ensure success

  • Manages OPEX within 5% variance

Objective 3: Integration across the pain portfolio and key migraine activities (20%)

  • Serves as the global point of contact for the development of migraine material for global congresses where both Galcanezumab and Lasmiditan are present.

  • Partners across the platform to ensure C3 needs are integrated where possible.

  • Develop and implement material at key migraine events.

  • Uncover synergy and opportunities to integrate and collaborate with Lasmiditan in external events.

  • Ensure all related activities adhere with compliance policies and continue to find creative solutions (not burdened with complexity from Lilly internal processes)

  • Responsible for understanding, implementing, and adhering to company policies, processes and external obligations, as applicable.

  • Prepare, Create, Approve: Responsible for leading deliverables, provide input on deliverable / project plans and on deliverable creation, verify appropriate functions have been consulted, ensure deliverables align with brand strategy, and escalate issues as needed.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 1+ years of pharma industry experience
