Responsibilities The project manager is responsible for the development, management, and execution of key projects and initiatives (P&I) supporting Manufacturing and Quality (M&Q). The scope of the P&I’s shall include capital projects, expense projects, technical transfers, product/process development, etc. related to the manufacturing of veterinary biologics.
Create, maintain, update, and manage detailed P&I schedules and master schedule. Schedules will include tasks from concept through turnover to M&Q, including commissioning and qualification activities as applicable.
Ensure team members are well informed and held accountable for their P&I responsibilities and timelines.
Lead, coordinate, facilitate, and motivate all associated project resources to gain alignment on project goals and deliverables.
Work with M&Q associates to establish detailed scopes of work and project plans.
Determine resource loading associated with P&I’s and use this information to assist M&Q in P&I prioritization.
Create P&I estimates, budgets, business case analysis, requests for proposal, capital investment requests, maintain P&I related financials and forecasting.
Manage design, manufacturing, and construction vendor schedules, deliveries, purchase orders, invoicing, etc.
Coordination between vendors, M&Q associates, and M&Q activities.
Routine reporting of P&I statuses and financials to senior management.
Facilitate and lead effective project and program meetings, manage change and conflict, and develop resources-planning estimates to manage program workload and productivity.
Safety & Environmental: For all projects and where necessary provide support to various areas to address any safety & environmental concerns. Proactively take safety & environmental issues into account on all activities, including ergonomic design, audits, scope/safety kickoff meetings and observing/reporting behaviors or near misses.
B.S. in Engineering or Science discipline
3 years of project management experience

Knowledge and application of a disciplined project management process.
Excellent computer skills and ability to utilize Microsoft Office programs, specifically Microsoft Project and are required. Shall also be able to quickly learn new software systems and be able to utilize them effectively.
Sound technical aptitude and proven ability to grasp general knowledge of multiple disciplines and technologies with superior computer usage skills.
Ability to produce and present clear, concise, and professionally written communications and presentations
Strong communication skills required. This role must maintain frequent contact with team members, M&Q associates, vendors and provide regular updates, conduct meetings, and produce management presentations.
Strong competencies in planning, project management, and organization with the ability to lead multiple activities, project and resources while maintaining a focus on quality.
Role requires strong self-management, organizational skills, and ability to learn and understand multiple processes and systems associated with the manufacturing of biologics.
Solid analytical and strategic capabilities and business acumen along with demonstrated work either, integrity, and professional conduct and professional appearance.
Ability to review and understand detailed specifications and P&I requirements, and ensure that they are delivered in the project or initiative.
Previous business management consulting experience, preferably in the health care, life sciences or pharmaceuticals verticals.
General knowledge of building systems and construction processes.
Working knowledge of cGMP's
Experience with manufacturing project and initiatives
Ability to review and manipulate drawing files in AutoCAD
