The Research IDS (Information and Digital Solutions) organization delivers innovative technical solutions to aid, accelerate, and support work done across the Lilly Research Laboratories. Reporting to the Spain Associate Director of Research IDS Technology & Platforms, the role will be joining a global team of software engineers/analysts to develop, customize and maintain scientific applications in the Discovery Research area, in collaboration with Research scientists and cross-functional IDS teams across geographies, and will contribute to drive the existing applications portfolio to a modern technology foundation.

Basic Cualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science (IT) or Science (Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, ..).

  • 2-5+ years of experience developing software in any of the following : Java, .NET C#, Python, Javascript, etc.

  • 2-5+ years of experience with databases (Oracle, SQL, Postgres,..).

  • Experience/knowledge of integration between infrastructure technologies and applications.

  • Ability to work following modern software development practices (source code management, automated testing & deployment,..).

  • Fluent in English (C1/Advanced).

Additional Skills:

  • Fluent Spanish.

  • Experience in Docker container management, AWS cloud deployment.

  • Interested in the Discovery Research area, willing to learn about Science.

  • Experience working with individuals across different organizations/teams.

  • Ability to influence peers and achieve results with others.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Able to work independently to analyze customer requirements and design solutions.

  • Strong problem-solving skills.

  • Agile learner and self-motivated team player.
