Role and Responsibilities
Mange and understand IT Tools used by the Global FUME/HSE team, the configuration of those tools, and how these tools interact to support the business processes
Lead, manage and participate in small projects, understanding business impact, quantifying resources, evaluating technical options and delivering results on time
Stays abreast of latest standards and emerging technologies to explore the applicability to the FUME business area.
Networks with appropriate IT colleagues whether within MQ IDS or in GIS functions to identify solutions to meet business partners’ needs
Participates in architectural design of solutions aligning to business need.
Understands existing business processes and supports/participates in reengineering efforts.
Identification and implementation of technical requirements resulting in appropriate technology, application, process, solution, and information solutions
Understands business requirements and effectively translates business needs and process into technical terms, and vice versa
Identifies opportunities for re-use of technology and influences business adherence to standards
Evaluates the application lifecycle against the solution architecture roadmap and makes appropriate retirement/replacement recommendations
Support the investigation and resolution of complex problems/incidents for the supported solutions, as needed
Business Analyst type role with familiarity with dashboard creation, minor coding skills
Prior experience working in manufacturing, Pharma or highly regulated environment.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT solution development or business analyst role (coding, validating, testing; implementing)
Ability to scope/plan short technical programs and projects at a task level that can be successfully executed
Knowledge of or experience using distributed solutions, commercial configurable software (COTS) suppliers, and business intelligence
Knowledge of solution delivery and service management processes
Ability to influence others to adopt different point of view or concept
Experience working globally across organizational levels and in a multicultural environment
Bachelor’s degree in at least one of the following disciplines: IT/IS or Engineering or equivalent program
Knowledge of Asset Lifecycle Management Phases
Experience in Pharma industry - Health Science Engineering is a plus.
Knowledge of Engineering standards and best practices
Familiarity with concepts such as API frameworks, web services
Familiarity with COTS or SaaS applications.
Working knowledge of technical tools for database exploration (i.e., TOAD, etc.) as well as analytical tools (i.e., Tableau, PowerBI, SSRS, etc.)
Knowledge and/or prior experience in object-oriented programming languages
- Bachelor’s degree in at least one of the following disciplines: IT/IS or Engineering or equivalent programs
A GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale
