Responsibilities

The Sales Strategy & Operations Data Operations Associate will report to the Sales Strategy & Operations Data Spine Team Lead and will work with a team to provide critical capabilities to support Eli Lilly & Company’s sales functions. Establish Data Governance framework and enable singular accountability and E2E ownership of US Commercial data. Create a process that maximizes Data Governance expertise to be the quarterback across the data lifecycle and an advisor / collaborator to US / Global functional and business experts.

Key accountabilities will include the following:

  • Execute and monitor operations tasks to ensure timely availability of data to the business

  • Perform thorough data validations to ensure data quality

  • Respond to queries from users and internal stakeholders

  • Consistently meet operations SLAs

  • Perform incident resolution and root cause analysis to support production operations

  • Coordinate with vendors, data providers, legal, business and IT stakeholders

  • Enable data to be readily available across the data lifecycle

  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of required master / reference data required for newly acquired data sets

  • Informed of new data source

  • Prepare for potential data mastering needs

  • Add data source to catalogue and document metadata

  • Coordinate with Data Operations Specialist, investigate if root cause stems from applied mastering / reference data within purview

Basic Qualifications/Technical Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Computers, Engineering background)

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and any applicable state and federal laws and regulations.

  • General understanding of AWS services such as Amazon S3, EC2, RDS, Redshift, etc.

  • Expertise in writing and debugging efficient SQL queries

  • Working knowledge of Python, Unix & Tableau

  • Expertise with ETL tools, IBM Netezza etc.

  • Ability to quickly analyze upstream and downstream impact for system changes

  • Detailed knowledge of pharmaceutical data and business rules

  • Excellent communication (written & verbal) and prioritization skills with attention to detail

  • High level of motivation and a strong desire to find creative solutions to challenging situations

  • Good focus on detail, accuracy, and ability to solve problems through analytical reasoning

  • Experience in business analysis
