Job Description:

As an automation developer in the Business Process Automation (BPA) Center of Excellence, you should have a good understanding of the tools and languages used to drive business value through automation. This includes robotic process automation technologies (Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, or UIPath) and business process documentation platforms, orchestration platforms, and low-code/no-code environments to support automations. Additionally, you should be familiar with augmenting automations for these platforms with relevant supporting technologies including advanced OCR, natural language processing, machine learning or artificial intelligence platforms.

Education Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Statistics, Technical Science or 4-5 years of IT/Programming experience

Mandatory Skills Required:

Hands on experience in the following technical skills:

  • At least 3 years of experience using robotic processing automation technologies such as Automation Anywhere

  • Ability to work with business/process owners to understand key business processes and requirements and can convert them to technical specifications and designs that include good modularity/reusability, telemetry, and error handling

  • Experience with automations related to SAP, browser based applications, windows based applications, COTS application, MS Office, unix platforms and other user-facing applications

  • Experience integrating advanced data analytics, cognitive/AI, machine learning, natural language processing, advanced OCR, or other with advanced techniques that augment or advance the value of business automation

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to communicate clearly, asking clarifying questions to ensure full understanding of user stories and requirements through client meeting, interviews, and workshops.

  • Experience in working in Scrum - agile methodologies, coding standards, code reviews, source management (GITHUB), build processes

  • Identify opportunities to increase BOT performance through improvements to proposed design

  • Participate in QA testing activities, including test at Task level and end-to-end process levels, integration testing and user acceptance testing.

Good to Have Skills / Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in development and deployment on cloud infrastructure

  • Experience developing with SAP BAPIs/RFCs and SAP domain knowledge

  • Experience with application integration technologies such as REST, WebAPIs, oData, ETL, ODBC/JDBC

  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, PowerShell, VBScript

  • experience working with business process management technologies such as IBM Blueworks Live, BPM, ODM, or other low-code/no-code platforms

  • Pharmaceutical or healthcare industry experience

  • Willingness to explore multiple solution patters to achieve an automation goal, clearly analyzing the pros and cons of each approach.

  • Working knowledge in Excel Macros, XML, REST API, JSON and good hands on Oracle PL/SQL or Postgres

  • Automation working knowledge in common SAAS products like ServiceNow, Workday and COTS application is required

  • Certification in Automation Anywhere (nice to have)

  • Service Introduction - Create a plan for transitioning the roll out of the BOT for use. Create & share best practices for Bot Maintenance and Change Management activities to the OPS team
