Detailed Description:

The Eli Lilly and Company Capability Center, India (LCCI) is creating a team under IDS, as part of LCCI’s broader IT strategy, to support current and future technology needs across the enterprise.

This IDS Team is composed of resources dedicated to specific projects related specifically to automation. It will also provide a pool of resources supporting automation projects across IDS. This team will allow Lilly to build custom automated solutions to eliminate manual processes and provide a single, consistent pool of development resources.

Provide servant-leadership and mentorship to a cross-functional agile team. This position will guide and serve teams that deliver technology solutions, through effective application of the Lean/Agile principles and frameworks including Scrum and Kanban. Role model and demonstrate the company’s core values of integrity, excellence, and respect for people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan Scrum ceremonies and ensure attendance is high, follow up with those not available

  • Lead ceremonies and ensure agenda in place, team stays on topic, tabled items are followed up on, issues are reported to proper leadership.

  • Ensure backlogs are healthy, stories are healthy, and work is available for upcoming sprints.

  • Document meeting minutes, decisions, update Jira tasks & backlogs, etc.

  • Report on Scrum Team metrics, KPI, success stories, etc.

  • Ensure feedback from retrospectives and customers is incorporated into process.

  • Coach team members on the Agile values and principles such as collaboration, prioritization, team accountability and transparency.

  • Identify and remove any impediments/distractions that interfere with the team’s ability to deliver against their commitments.

  • Ensure the team is tracking and communicating team progress and metrics (burn-down, burn-up, velocity, etc.) to the appropriate audiences.

  • Facilitate and enable an environment of collaboration and creativity.

  • Support and empower the team to make appropriate commitments through story selection and task definition.

  • Empower the team to self-organize around achieving their commitments.

  • Challenge and enable the team to continuously improve through intentional Lean and data driven retrospectives.

  • Recommend improvements and assist in changes to best practices where appropriate.

  • Provide reports and metrics as needed about team performance and productivity.

  • Experience working on a Global Cross-Functional Team is a plus.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Required Experience:

  • Should have strong experience in Agile and specifically Scrum methodology. Certified Scrum Master is preferred and beneficial.

  • Organizing work within an Agile team & logistical planning

  • Deep knowledge of Sprint ceremonies and experience leading ceremonies for multiple engagements/teams

  • ITSM and ITIL knowledge is helpful
