The ServiceNow Architect is a technical resource that possesses advanced administration, architecture, design, build, and strategic engagement for the roadmap and services. The ServiceNow Architect has a broad knowledge of industry standard technologies, infrastructure, software development and implementations, to deliver new functionality and innovative solutions, to support the longterm vision.
Engage with Enterprise Architects, our Lilly ServiceNow team, IT partners, and vendors to enhance and advance the ServiceNow capabilities for business needs.
This is achieved through:
Advanced technical proficiency of ServiceNow for design and architecture of infrastructure for cloud and on-premise environments., which may include integrations with other technologies
Excellent understanding of the architectural principles for cloud-based platforms that include SaaS, PaaS, multi-tenancy, and automation.
Provide thought leadership and counsel on leading practices to realize business objectives by leveraging the capabilities of the out-of-the-box product, for ServiceNow ITOM, ITBM, ITSM, CSM, and Risk and Compliance applications, and Configuration Management, as well as Security and patching strategies.
A high learning agility to understand the current state and provide technical expertise to advance the design and project deliverables for complex business needs. Engage and consult with the enterprise architects, platform team, development team and vendors for best practices, planning, documentation, recommendations and deliverables for technical solutions, to represent the architectural blueprint.
Provide and ensure effective impact analysis of platform changes, with consistency and conformance to Standard Operating Procedures for architecture, data, integrations, platform upgrades and processes, as well as code review and promotion.
Experience with leading and implementing all technical aspects of project delivery, solution delivery, instance strategy, technical governance, core data, integrations and the overall technical health of the platform.
Must have experience installing, implementing, and maintaining several of the following: LDAP/Active Directory, SSO (e.g. SAML, SiteMinder), Email Infrastructure, Web Services (consuming or providing) (SOAP, REST), Data Extraction Technologies (e.g. JDBC, ODBC), MySQL or MariaDB, Network infrastructure and experience with Cloud Management Platforms such as AWS and VMware
Experience with conducting requirements gathering workshops, for the technical needs of use cases and value-based acceptance criteria
Strong verbal and written communications and facilitation skills, to articulate the ideas and recommendations to management, architects and cross-functional teams
Functional knowledge and experience for engagement with IT infrastructure
Applied knowledge of ITIL v3
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical degree
7+ Years of experience as an Enterprise Architect and ServiceNow Architecture for designing, implementing and managing advanced architectures in an application domain or platform.
5+ years of experience in application development with SaaS, PaaS, or Enterprise Software Development
Fluent in English for verbal and written communications, is essential
Proven team player, for collaboration and effective approach for working in a dynamic environment, where needs and priorities can change, with compressed deadlines
