The Environmental Monitoring technician provides direct support to manufacturing area by conducting EM using aseptic technique and in accordance with Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP).
Perform routine, non-routine, and process environmental monitoring responsibilities as it relates to the QC Microbiology group.
Execute job functions in classified and non-classified areas in manufacturing.
Ensure samples are maintained at proper storage conditions and sample traceability is maintained.
Perform routine QC tasks such as lab equipment maintenance and cleaning of equipment and laboratory following procedures.
Perform microbiological plate reads and review of laboratory logbooks.
Trending of quality control data and authoring of quarterly trend reports.
Communicate quality control data with cross-functional groups in support of team projects.
Conduct quality investigations for EM excursions (including OOS results).
Assist with standard operating procedure (SOP) reviews per management’s direction.
Apply acceptable cGMP practices during execution of all work tasks.
Basic Requirements:
HS diploma with previous related experience OR Associates degree.
Good working knowledge of cGMP regulations preferred.
Additional Skills/Preferences:
Knowledge of aseptic technique preferred.
Cleanroom gowning experience preferred.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Attentive to detail.
Ability to work independently and achieve problem resolution with minimal supervision.
Employees must be flexible working various shifts and call in time to support business needs as required.
Additional Information:
Travel not required.
Must be able to work weekends, overtime, and holidays as needed.
Works independently with moderate supervisory guidance and update supervisor of progress on a regular basis.
Collection of samples will involve climbing, standing, stooping, and squatting.
Adhering to site-specific safety requirements and PPE (hard hats, safety shoes, etc.).
