The purpose of this position is to perform a lead role in the execution of maintenance-related projects, and the calibration and maintenance of equipment, instrumentation, and control systems within a bio pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. All duties must be performed in compliance with established company, department, and safety policies and procedures within a cGMP-regulated facility.
The incumbent will determine and execute daily work assignments based on departmental resources and project needs and ensure timely completion of all assignments for manufacturing process equipment and instrumentation, hygienic and non-hygienic utility systems equipment and controls. The Projects Leader will complete a wide range of tasks, with significant focus on performing complex assignments under limited supervision where keen judgment is required in resolving problems and making routine recommendations. This role will act as maintenance SME and provide consulting services to other departments as needed.
This position will work in conjunction with Maintenance, Engineering, Validation, Manufacturing, and Quality Control Laboratory departments to help the company and all its personnel to reach their goals in providing a safe, clean, and efficient environment.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide Front line/Daily support.
Redline drawings (including electrical and P&ID), engineering documentation and other technical specifications to provide as-built accurate project documentation.
Provide input and support for the design, installation, and upgrade of instrumentation and control systems.
Execute complex projects to support Maintenance and/or Engineering Projects.
Troubleshoot issues, perform maintenance and calibration on equipment/systems/skids and processes with focus on digital and analog I/O, instrumentation and electro-mechanical controls.
Approve individual system components: pumps, fans, instruments, motors, etc.
Lead teams to make process improvements.
Schedule and forecast medium sized projects with two-three disciplines.
Other assignments as defined by supervisor.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
A minimum HS diploma, or equivalent, with 7 years combined education and relevant hands-on technical experience. Candidates with vocational, industrial, trade school or apprentice program experience with 5 years of relevant hands-on technical experience.
Experience working within a Bio-pharmaceutical Facility or equivalent is preferred.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS/PREFERENCES
Experience with calibration and maintenance of equipment, instrumentation, and control systems.
Working knowledge of project management tools.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
High-level of troubleshooting skills.
High-level knowledge of electrical I/O, instrumentation, VFD and electro-mechanical controls
High level understanding of industrial safety (LOTO, Confined Space Entry, Working at Height).
Understanding of the interaction between this role, other departments and outside contractors/vendors.
ADDITIONAIL INFORMATION:
Monday - Friday 1st shift, 6:00am - 2:30pm. Overtime may be required during shutdowns, emergency situations, or periods of heavy workloads.
This position will work in and around potentially dangerous and hazardous equipment, powders, liquids and gasses. Safety is paramount for this position.
