Position Brand Description:
This Dedicated Manufacturing & Quality Information Digital Solutions (M&Q IDS) position will be part of the Global API MES Team. The Global API MES team is purposed to deliver and support Manufacturing Execution Systems through championing standardization of business processes and common Syncade (Software by Emerson) modules that enable manufacturing sites to deliver world class performance. This position will report to a MQ IDS Associate Director and will focus on the following key elements:
Managing Syncade software release lifecycle, licensing technology & processes
Managing application regression testing
Global object development and management
Escalation point for Tier 2/3 support
Key Objectives & Responsibilities
Drive new releases & hot fixes technical assessments and related interoperability test with Syncade
Influence life cycle decisions. Coordinate & manage LCM processes. Executes \ facilitates complex technical upgrades
Configure & deploy MES software application and system.
Enables common processes across the sites such as RA Behaviors, Global Components and Work Instructions.
Proactively influence the business towards replication & standardization to drive value and implement the appropriate technical solutions
Evaluate emerging technologies and implications to Syncade solution
Maintain open communication with Emerson to address needs in standard solution or via functional packs
Evaluate and translate functional requirements into technical solutions
Ability to problem solving and work through manufacturing situations. Escalates to vendor as appropriate
Ensure project and/or validation documentation is maintained during lifecycle & release management
Find innovative ways to leverage Syncade to drive business value
Develops \ assists in the creation and maintenance of the interfaces with external systems
Basic Requirements
BS in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
Minimum 3 years of MES experience
Knowledge of S95 Architecture Model
Some knowledge and depth across M&Q business areas and Manufacturing IT application portfolio
General awareness and knowledge of security, regulatory, legal, and quality requirements (privacy & GxP)
Additional Preferences
Strong knowledge of S88 Standard & control system MES interface concepts
Strong technical skill in Syncade: Manufacturing Execution (or another MES) architecture and troubleshooting
Relevant manufacturing experience
Knowledge of data management concepts and practices
Strong technical skill in T-SQL programming language
Strong technical skill in VB script, C# or other common Microsoft programming languages
Strong technical skill specially in Microsoft Server and SQLServer DBMS management
Some demonstrated Syncade architecture knowledge
Demonstrated learning agility both technically as well as business processes and applications
Demonstrated initiative to build relationships, work across diverse teams, learn new business processes and identify opportunities
Demonstrated ability to influence peers and business partners
Demonstrated ability to evaluate, facilitate, and drive towards risk-based decision making
Ability to thrive in a complex, changing, virtual environment with multiple manufacturing sites
Other Information
Employee Type: Flexible = Flexible employees are expected to be onsite 60%
Location: Flexible = The employee can be based at any of the US Lilly API Manufacturing sites
Some travel will be required to other Lilly API Manufacturing sites in Puerto Rico and/or Europe/US
