Position overview

Conducts water and gas sampling using aseptic technique and in accordance with Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP). Exhibits strong teamwork skills. Works independently with moderate supervisory guidance and update supervisor of progress on a regular basis.

Responsibilities:

Performs routine responsibilities as it relates to the QC Microbiology group as assigned by supervisor such as:

  • Collect water and gas sampling for microbiological and chemical analysis.

  • Ensure samples are maintained at proper storage conditions and sample traceability is maintained.

  • Support the QC lab with non-routine sampling

  • Perform cleaning of the assigned equipment following the procedures of laboratory

  • Perform sample weighing and disposal following laboratory procedures

  • Works weekends, overtime, and holidays as needed.

Basic Requirements:

  • High School Diploma with 1 year GMP experience or A.S. in Biology or related sciences

  • Good working knowledge of cGMP regulations

  • Competent in use of Microsoft Office programs

  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position.

  • Completion of Post Offer Exam or Completion of Work Simulation if applicable.

Physical and other Requirements

  • Collection of samples will involve climbing, standing, stooping, and squatting.

  • Adhering to site-specific safety requirements and PPE (hard hats, steel toe boots, etc.)

Additional Preferences:

  • Knowledge of aseptic technique preferred.

  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills

  • Attentive to detail

  • Ability to work independently and achieve problem resolution with minimal supervision

Additional Information:

  • Weekends required

  • Early/Late shifts available
