Lilly Alliance Marketing Manager in Cairo, Egypt

Lilly operates with an alliance model in South East Asia and North Africa countries, under Distribution and Promotion agreements with local and regional partners, with the aim to grow Lilly’s business and allow its innovative portfolio to benefit more patients. Alliance Marketing Manager will be responsible for providing marketing support for the existing and future diabetes brands covering the whole regional geography and demonstrate the following:

  • Support partners’ in various field including marketing functions so activities meet the organization's business objectives

  • Recommend changes in internal procedures in different regions to comply with regulations

  • Develop precedent-setting innovations/solutions

  • Support innovative solutions from development through implementation to create measurable positive impact on overall company and region’s progress/success

  • Draw conclusions and making recommendations based on external and internal analysis

  • Share with the partners Lilly’s experience on product launch preparations consistent with the agreement terms, recognizing that it is ultimately partners’ responsibility to design and implement a successful product launch

Key Responsibilities

External Analysis

  • Apply a thorough understanding of the complexity and ambiguousness of information from various elements of external analysis in making recommendations

  • Support partner upon request on when and how to use market research as a tool

  • Help partner upon demand on how to articulate problems and that will be made as a results of market research or information gathering

  • Accurately defines critical success factors based on elements of external analysis

  • Assist upon partner’s demand on quickly and consistently identifies market trends

  • Draws conclusions upon multiple sources for market information, including market research, competitive intelligence and insights from thought leaders

Marketing Planning

  • Contribute to the planning and coordination with partners for new product launches across the alliance in the therapeutic area under responsibility

  • Share and explain Lilly’s experience on product launches

External Relationship Management

  • Known within the internal organization/regional teams and partners for strong ability to successfully develop and manage projects with key stakeholder groups; actively sought out by internal and external stakeholders (partners)

  • Support partners in developing initiatives that will maximize the value of our molecules with key reimbursement/formulary stakeholders

Implementation

  • Upon request, share product information with partner’s medical, marketing, sales leaders

  • Upon request, coordinate with partners on topics related to the brand / therapeutic area

  • Share ongoing communications from Lilly global teams with partners as appropriate to ensure partners are updated on global brand developments

Measurement and Evaluation

  • Use measurement results defined in the partnership agreement, local customer insights and experiences from other countries to effectively achieve agreed objectives

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (MBA or master’s degree in marketing is a plus)

  • Minimum of 5 years pharmaceutical commercial experience with at least 3 years in brand management. Experience in diabetes is certainly a plus and preferred

  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken. French is not a must but preferred.

  • Ability to collaborate successfully with cross functional and external partners
