Business Architect -Who You’ll Work With

Our Connected Care team is responsible for redefining people with diabetes care journey stretch the envelope, understand what’s possible, give shape to the future—and get them to the target goal. Our teams go beyond the expected to help people with diabetes move confidently through connected program and drive more transformative health outcomes.

Business Architect -What You’ll Do

The Business Architect drives business transformation throughout the organization. Business Architects have the connected care programs as their contextual focus, as opposed to a specific project/process/product or department/business function. They work with senior executives to understand their key business drivers and organizational strategic needs. They are typically responsible for the overall end-to-end capabilities across all the connected care solution or perhaps leading a large workstream within a very large program.

The Business Architect leads interviews and workshops to analyze the current business model and operating model. Then, they define future business capabilities or changes in how key elements of the business work together to deliver strategic value or provide a competitive advantage. They ensure the interconnections between the business processes, technology, data, and people work together to drive business performance throughout the enterprise. The ideal candidate takes that understanding to drive a model that is aligned to future growth and scale with the flexibility and adaptability to do so.

Business Architect - What You’ll Bring

  • Has captured, visually, end-to-end flows aimed at delivering value for a stakeholder

  • Has proven ability to think about business processes outside of technology context

  • Has led critical analysis on a program basis to help enterprise and business achieve strategic objectives

  • Has assisted in the creation of business architecture visuals such as: value stream maps, business capability maps, organizational graphs, and business strategy framework diagrams

  • Has defined, structured and, executed operational and strategic initiatives by developing work plans, gathering and synthesizing relevant data, leading analyses, and developing actionable recommendations

  • Has participated in capability assessments and the creation of a capability strategy within a business unit

  • Has conducted research to ensure strategy recommendations are grounded in holistic understanding of the consumers’ and providers decision journey, market trends, and competitive landscape

  • Has conducted idea scouting internally and externally and sourced new growth opportunities

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with Business architecture

  • 5+ years of experience managing business processes

  • 5+ years of experience with managing relationships across multiple business units

  • 3+ years of experience leading large scale programs

  • Experience working in a large matrix organization

  • Experience operating in a highly collaborative environment with a strong ability to influence

  • Advanced knowledge of modeling, simulation, and analysis techniques and methodologies

  • Advanced knowledge of industry tools (e.g., capability models and road maps, process models, interaction diagrams, use cases, business cases, cost / benefit and ROI analysis)

  • Solid business acumen in business architecture framework within the insurance and healthcare industries

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applicable databases

  • Ability to travel as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate or higher degree. MBA Preferred

  • 5+ years of experience managing stakeholder engagement, and matrixed collaboration

  • 2+ years of experience working in consulting role

  • 5+ years of Healthcare industry experience

  • Project / Program management experience

  • Experience in developing business capabilities and architecture roadmaps

  • Experience with creating presentations for executive audience with the ability to translate and communicate complex Business, IT and operational challenges into perspectives that are understandable, impactful and actionable for leaders

  • Understanding of Agile Principles

  • Ability to engage executives and influence effectively across organizational levels and functions

  • Strong communication skills
