Lilly Manager-Supply Chain in Clinton, Indiana



The manager for supply chain has the responsibility for the production services associated with the Clinton Labs supply chain organization. This includes all aspects of ensuring production planning and scheduling are performed for Clinton manufacturing and contract manufacturing operations (CMO’s) The manager will facilitate individual activities and group activities to ensure team alignment with and completion of business objectives in order to deliver positive results for the supply chain.

Key Objectives/Deliverables:

Developing People - Ensure performance management plans are developed for each direct report and for the entire department. Conduct interim and year-end reviews for direct reports. Provide quality coaching and mentoring. Provide career counseling. Responsible for any HR issues. Further enhance the diversity of the workforce through future job fill actions.

Manage the Business - Responsible for site R&OP and integration with Global S&OP. Responsible for alliance management of the Clinton CMO’s including strategy development, issue resolution, and process improvements associated with supply chain. Responsible for ensuring and maintaining OSSCE compliance within the site. Responsible for SAP supply chain data management, system changes, and inventory control. Responsible for planning and scheduling production at Clinton and at Provimi (CMO). Liaison with Global Elanco groups.

Safety & Environmental - Enhance safety awareness and accountability within the staff. Help establish staff ownership of ‘safety beliefs’. Strive for continuous improvement in safety.

Reliability / Capability - Support animal health business unit objectives by aligning department goals and objectives. Establish necessary process and quality indicators for all supply chain services provided. Lead the efforts for obtaining and maintaining OSSCE Class A certification. Responsible for overseeing the coordination of product launches.

Quality - Work with quality unit to assure GMP requirements are fully integrated into daily work activities. Ensure understanding throughout the supply chain organization of applicable GMPs. Oversee compliance to established policies and procedures. Ensure proper and thorough documentation, and verification is maintained. Evaluate management quality systems as they apply to supply chain operations and implement improvements as needed.

Additional Skills/Preferences:

Understanding of supply chain methodology - OSSCE concepts.

Proven track record of leadership assignments in a regulated, manufacturing environment.

Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, writing) with all levels of personnel throughout the site.

Recognized leadership skills in project administration and other areas of team activity (cross-functional team leadership, participation, etc.).

Must have excellent people skills, especially mentoring/coaching.

Ability to solve problems using data and make decisions independently.

Proficiency with computer systems including SAP, Trackwise, Microsoft Office, etc.

Ability to influence others

Ability to prioritize multiple activities

Personal organizational skills, along with good problem solving techniques- root cause analysis, etc.

CPIM certification.

Additional Information:

8-hour shift; some travel required.
