Lilly is investing over $1 billion to create a new state-of-the-art manufacturing site, in Concord, North Carolina. The brand-new facility will utilize the latest technology to increase the company's manufacturing capacity in parenteral (injectable) medications, device assembly and packaging operations. Organization Overview:

Manufacturing and Quality Information and Digital Services (MQ IDS) supports manufacturing operational excellence and productivity efforts through utilization of information and technology. MQ IDS strives to enable the making of medicine “with safety first and quality always”.

Responsibilities:

The IDS Manufacturing Infrastructure Analyst provides support for Concord operations, laboratories, process, and building automation equipment installation, end user support, and special project custom applications. Additionally, this role provides support for infrastructure systems (workstations, servers, printers, platform applications, operating systems and/or specialized applications such as video recording, cameras, access control, etc.).

Key Objectives

  • Perform technical requirements analysis of workstation infrastructure design

  • Coordinate with vendors regarding requirements, operating system requirements, additional hardware requirements and costs

  • Install and configure workstation hardware, software and any additional hardware and software

  • Provide qualified infrastructure platforms

  • Train end user(s) on the operations of new equipment, workstation software, networking, etc

  • Troubleshooting problems on platforms including; specifically Citrix, RealVNC, VDI, Linux, iGel technology, WinXP/7 OS & workstation hardware as well as Telecom

  • Consultant for questions regarding infrastructure, compatibility, backup and configuration issues

  • Provide strategy for immediate and future upgrades of hardware and software applications

  • Perform application and operating system upgrades for lab and automation systems

  • Providing supporting documentation for validation and testing of upgrades

  • Assist with validation of new and existing systems by providing technical design information to assure GMP data integrity

  • Participates and/or represents department in cross-functional or departmental teams, as requested

Basic Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of software applications and infrastructure platforms, including configuration and troubleshooting

  • Strong problem identification and resolution skills

  • Capacity to establish positive interpersonal relationships and interact effectively with IDS customers

  • Experience providing technical support in regulated manufacturing environment

  • Teamwork oriented with the ability to work independently

  • Understanding of manufacturing safety & quality requirements

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology (IT)
