Main Purpose and Objectives of Position:

The Facilities Engineer for Concord Facilities and Maintenance will support all engineering, maintenance, Health Safety & Environmental (HSE), and security activities required to enable facility operations. This role will work closely with the Quality unit to ensure Facilities, Utilities, Maintenance, and Engineering (FUME) compliance requirements are met. The Facilities Engineer will work with and leverage a diverse network of outside service providers to support all critical facility needs within the scope of this role’s responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and execute activities related to Engineering, Maintenance, Security & HSE activities at Concord site.

  • Ownership or stewardship of FUME Systems:

  • Revise the system operating procedure and tools as needed.

  • Monitor systems metrics on a regular basis to ensure the systems are in control.

  • Implement improvements to optimize the systems performance.

  • Network with systems users to ensure their needs are always met.

  • Oversee and manage Facilities activities performed by service providers.

  • Support small and medium-scaled projects.

  • Support Global Maintenance and Reliability System (GMARS) activities

  • Write change management and Event documentation and complete corresponding action items.

  • Enter FUME related changes and events in the CAPA system, obtain approval, and close out once the change/event is implemented and action items are complete.

  • Anticipate and resolve technical, operational and business challenges relevant to role and the facility.

  • Build & leverage relationships with key internal and external partners and stakeholders to benefit facility operations. (Engineering Center of Excellence, Global HSE, Corporate Security, multiple outsourced service providers.)

Educational Requirement:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or engineering technology.

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a related field is preferred.

Language Requirements: Must speak fluent English

Additional Preferences:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong organizing/multi-tasking skills

  • Strong computer skills

  • Ability to work in a team environment.

  • Working knowledge of cGMP’s, cGDP’s and cold-chain

  • Experience with GMP facility commissioning and qualification

  • Technical knowledge and work experience with building systems including HVAC, refrigeration systems, chilled water, emergency back-up generators, security systems, etc.

  • Experience with critical IT systems (CMMS – GMARS & CAPA - Trackwise, etc.)

  • Familiarity with building management systems

Additional Information/Requirements:

  • Requires 24/7 on-call availability for facility maintenance and engineering emergencies.

  • Minimal travel may be required, both domestic and international
