The Global Business Solutions (GBS) Center at Cork was established in July 2010 to provide financial shared services such as Order to Cash, Purchase to Pay, and General Accounting and Global Travel and Meeting services. Since then, the scope of GBS Cork has expanded outside of Finance and into other Business Service functions, Customer Meeting Services, Global HR Data Management and Medical Information and Clinical Trials support services.

The role of Clinical Services and Capabilities, Decentralized Clinical Trial (DCT) Capabilities Associate will serve as a business associate enabling DCT capability operations and DCT capability implementation within Lilly’s clinical research trials. This role will be responsible for delivery of decentralized capabilities and innovations across the portfolio of trials. The DC Associate is responsible for collaborating across functional areas within clinical development and directly with vendors to deliver ongoing support of these capabilities.

Decentralized Clinical Trial Capabilities – Implementation Support

  • Own and manage trial level and vendor level contracts, operational plans, meetings, updates and any other deliverables

  • Provide operational support for DCT capabilities and vendors within each capability area

  • Analyze and oversee vendor and/or technology reporting and metrics

  • Manage daily issues, track trends, collaborate on solutions and oversee resolutions for implementation

  • Ensure information management including training, communication, and documentation are complete, current and correct

  • Continually seek and implement means of improving processes to reduce cycle time and decrease work effort

Project Management

  • Compile data for metrics/dashboards related to operation and implementation

  • Resolve operational issues that arise and apply shared learnings across functions and to external partners

  • Create best practices to be shared cross functionally

  • Create training materials and job aides for areas of focus


  • Partner and/or strengthen relationships across clinical development functional area and asset teams

  • Partner with vendors to facilitate a good customer experience and to enable optimized delivery

  • Actively participate in shared learnings across the team

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

  • Degree in Medical, Pharma, Clinical, Nursing or similar desired

  • 2 or more years of Clinical Research experience ​​

  • Open to potential evening shift work (Mon-Fri only)
