The Integrated Services Group manages the implementation of complex projects related to the Lilly single global instance of SAP, as well as other systems and processes that connect to SAP. This team supports all business units and divisions of the corporation. Projects include the integration of new plant sites, changes related to logistics, acquisitions, divestitures, system upgrades, and integration of new technology for purpose of automation or meeting external requirements. Team members include global process owners, subject matter experts, master data experts, and other support roles who help manage the end-to-end integration. This group also provides production support and master data governance. The Integrated Services team works in close partnership with the Information Technology team in support of all initiatives.
Purpose of the Position:
The Supply Chain Project Team is responsible for implementing global projects that enable strategic changes to global supply chains. The projects in scope of this role include those approved via the Integrated Services Governance Council. Additionally, projects that involve source changes or flavor management may also require the expertise of the Supply Chain Project Team Member for successful implementation. Business processes that comprise the subject matter include production planning, supply planning, MRP purchasing, external manufacturing, manufacturing operations, production execution, inventory management, and warehouse management. This role will be highly engaged on warehouse management initiatives including eWM implementations across Lilly manufacturing sites.
The Supply Chain Project Team must work with all stakeholders, ranging from local site supply chain and data personnel to the Global Process Owner, M&Q IT and Global MDM Experts and Analysts, to implement business processes that achieve the stated mission of the project. The role includes assessing impact on global standards, metrics, SOP’s and education and training to facilitate the change management process
While this position will perform no IT technical configuration or ABAP coding work, configuration knowledge and SAP project experiences is preferred but not required.
Key Responsibilities include:
Working with the project team, implement projects associated with business processes
Ensure portfolio of projects is advanced through the delivery milestones
Ensure decisions needed for projects are coordinated among stakeholders so that projects deliver process improvement/efficiencies
Ensure ongoing accuracy and improvement in training materials needed for project work and project rollout
Lead workstreams for small- and medium-scale projects
Deliver solution on time and within budget
Meet the project charter goals and objectives
Anticipate and solve a range of problems that impact successful delivery of the project
Lead the organizational change management efforts for successful implementation of the project
Develop and deliver training and education to users of the new solution
Communicate effectively to all sites, Global Business Solution centers, affiliates, impacted users, Steering Committees and management
Assure pilot go no/go criteria and project criteria are achieved
Provide team and individual recognition for participants
Establish process measures to ensure that delivered projects achieve business savings / efficiency expectations
Provide business support to manufacturing site or Global Business Solution users and end-users related to plan-to-produce processes
Submit requests for system changes for break/fixes and enhancements and with IT and Data group.
Provide support to release manager for SAP regression testing.
Provide subject matter expertise on master data and its impact on plan-to-produce transactional processes.
Analyze available SLAs and Operational Metrics to proactively find trends and opportunities for future process improvements
Develop new measures / metrics to improve operations
A successful candidate demonstrates influential leadership in their professional work and also has
A minimum of 2 years working with SAP supply chain functionality and/or APO
At least 3 years Lilly or industry experience in supply chain, manufacturing, or logistics
Bachelor’s degree in Materials Management, Engineering, Sciences, Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology or equivalent work experience
APICS CPIM Certification
Manufacturing site experience
Project management experience
Prior experience as part of a GBIP implementation team or the BPKC
Prior experience with GBS Centers, especially if in the P2P team
Ability to work across cultures and across diverse management styles
Proven Problem Solving Skills
Proven project implementation work
Good communication skills
Work shift: Full time, normal work shift
Due to the nature of the support activities, some overtime and/or “off hours” effort may be required during peak business times
Safety permitting, global travel is possible for project specific roadshow, design workshop, and heavy testing periods (10-20%)
