Lilly works with an extensive network of third party organizations to perform a vast range of activities across the enterprise. Known internal risks that impact Lilly such as privacy, information security, compliance, pricing, IT, etc. are amplified or compounded with the use of third parties. Today, third party oversight is decentralized at Lilly. There are many functions working with third parties in some capacity including, but not limited to: Procurement, Third Party Management Organizations (TPMOs), Risk Domain Partners including Audit/Assessment Teams.

The TPRM organization is implementing a holistic Working with Third Parties (WwTP) program to support consistent, efficient, and effective decision making and determining potential inherent risk. The central team’s scope encompasses priority business and risk areas across all stages of the third party collaboration lifecycle.

Successful execution of this strategy will reduce third party risk, strengthen capabilities, drive consistency and efficiency, and reduce cost.

The scope of the TPRM hub team will include the following:

Create and maintain policies, procedures, and training to drive consistent WwTP for third party use. Liaise with Risk Domain Partners to create and maintain Risk Definitions, Tolerances, and Required Training for TPMOs, Engagement Owners, and Third Parties. Construct and own the overall WwTP Program. Own the enterprise Wwtp technology solution. Provide oversight of the WwTP initial and on-going monitoring due diligence processes. Report progress and results to Senior Leadership including, but not limited to, the CPO, the SVP of Ethics & Compliance, and the Compliance & Enterprise Risk Management Committee (CERMC).


  • The Technology Analyst assists the Risk Management Lead with the ongoing maintenance of the Aravo system based on customer business processes and objectives.

  • The Technology Analyst coordinates and works across various teams Aravo/IDS/TPRM Central Team, and Key Stakeholders to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness of the technology.

Key Objectives / Deliverables:

  • Build effective relationships with TPRM Hub, GBS and IDS to develop and execute on WwTP tool roadmap to meet short- and long-term objectives.

  • Serve as a single point of contact for WwTP tool inquiries.

  • Manage the portfolio of incoming operations and enhancement work, through ruthless prioritization of each request whilst partnering with TPRM Hub Team and extended IDS team to manage and drive the change in the system per Lilly quality policies.

  • Own and drive day-to-day implementation on how WwTP program uses the tool.

  • Own and maintain documentation requirements and adhere to process for WwTP Tool usage and validation, (e.g. change control, technical requirements, validation documents, MyAccess, access roster reviews, etc) including partnering with IDS and the TPRM Hub to clearly document and convert the business requirements to functional and technical documents.

  • Assist with the implementation of tool changes / enhancements by conducting system testing including the development of test scripts and executing against those scripts and or facilitating additional testing as required.

  • Conduct regression testing as required for required changes.

  • Conduct a review of WwTP release notes to drive proactive actions and communications to the broader TPRM team.

  • Develop and maintain strong tracking and prioritization mechanisms using Jira.

  • Partner with TPRM Hub to continuously improve governance and communication strategy to enable transparent, open, and effective communication across stakeholders in the WwTP process.

  • Anticipate, understand, and communicate the implications of technical decisions on the business, applications, and project timelines and influence decisions accordingly.

  • Contribute to the planning, development and execution of project plans while proactively identifying potential issues and implementing mitigation strategies

  • Support system owner with appropriate input as owner develops and provides end user training as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical, scientific, or business disciplines

  • 1+ years professional experience, including IT related experience with portfolio management, solution delivery and /or service delivery
