Lilly Calibrations Technician (Night Shift) - Sign-On Bonus in Durham, North Carolina

We are looking for a talented, experienced individual to join our company as a Calibrations Technician. The Calibration Technician performs and documents routine and non-routine instrument calibrations including maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repairs on a variety of equipment and instruments for manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), including adherence to all company SOPs and documentation standards.

  • Maintain clear, concise, and compliant records of all work performed for the purpose of documenting the control of all equipment and utilities.

  • Assist and coordinate the monthly calibration schedule with the Scheduler/Planner by contacting the responsible parties and scheduling the work with the equipment owners and outside vendors.

  • Make data entries into the Plant Maintenance equipment database as needed. (CMMS)

  • Assist with processing of qualification protocols for execution and assist with compiling/packaging/routing of executed qualification documents.

  • Perform routine calibrations on a variety of equipment types.

  • Review calibration documents for accuracy and completeness as assigned.

  • Maintain all metrology standards in working condition and ensure that they are used within their calibration intervals.

  • Assist with writing calibration procedures, worksheets, and calibration specifications.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 3-5 years of related experience in Pharmaceutical, or other Life Science Industries performing calibrations duties..

  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position

  • Satisfy background check and drug screening.

Additional Preferences:

  • Must be able to effectively use business software programs, such as, Maximo, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office Suite, and other required software programs.

  • Experience working in a GMP/regulated environment

  • Must be able to effectively use business software programs, such as, Maximo, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office Suite and other required software programs.

  • Experience in maintenance business processes and Maximo CMMS or equivalent.

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

  • Demonstrated experience in providing a high level of customer service

  • Successful candidate will frequently work independently and, as such, must be a self-starter and capable of working with minimal daily direct supervision.

  • Good documentation practices

  • Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, working safely and accountable for supporting all HSE Corporate and Site Goals

  • Must be able to effectively work in a team environment.

  • Experience working in a GMP/regulated environment

Additional Information:

  • Must be willing to work 12-hour night shifts (2-2-3 schedule)

  • May be required to respond to off-hour call-in and emergencies.

  • May require overtime during peak periods or when additional coverage is required.

  • Relocation not offered at this time.
