Lilly Advisor-Global Security in Greenfield, Indiana
The newly created role Sr. Advisor – Global Security will act as the company’s security expert and will provide an opportunity for the successful candidate to establish the global security program and deliver key individual contributor expertise and security services on a global basis. The role will report to the Head of Global Real Estate, Facilities and Security and is based at Elanco global headquarters in Greenfield, Indiana. The successful candidate will be expected to stand up the company’s security function - which was previously provided by its former parent company – to a new built-for-purpose security program aligned with Elanco’s risk profile.
Working with company leadership and all cross-functional stakeholders, design the security enterprise for Elanco, to include development of policies, procedures and standards and compliance and governance framework
Identify and establish mitigation strategies and solutions for existing and emerging security risks, threats and vulnerabilities
Develop and maintain effective liaison with key national and local government law enforcement agencies
Lead employee awareness initiatives to promote good security practices in the workplace and in the conduct of business activities on a global scale
Act as the company’s lead security advisor in the evaluation of business risks
Lead compliance with regulatory and voluntary security program standards and requirements
Support, when necessary, internal investigations in collaboration with the compliance, HR, IT and legal functions
Manage response, investigations and law enforcement liaison for crimes committed against the company
In collaboration with other internal stakeholders and external law enforcement agencies, manage investigations into counterfeiting, diversion, tampering and theft of Elanco products
Collaborate effectively with the Elanco Information Security function to protect the company’s confidential information, trade secrets and intellectual property
Experience in security policy, procedure and standards development, implementation and governance
Experience in security officer/guard contracting and management
Experience in the oversight of security incident reporting and the use of security case management technical applications
Experience in leading emergency and critical incident response, including travel security
Experience in the use of open source and subscribed security threat intelligence and analysis
Experience in physical security design and performance (access control systems, alarm systems, video surveillance)
Demonstrated highly effective interpersonal abilities and verbal and written communications skills
Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally to achieve organizational goals and overcome challenges
Demonstrated ability to lead change globally through an influence role leveraging external/internal relationships
Experience in contracting and directing outsourced investigators
Membership in ASIS International and/or other professional security associations
CPP and/or PSP certification
At times the candidate will be expected to work outside regular business hours, on weekends or on holidays, and be available for off-hours emergency consultation and response
Periodic domestic and international travel may be required (10-15%)
An individual contributor role will be expected on some occasions to directly participate in site security reviews, protection assignments, and other duties

Senior Advisor-Global Security
Minimum 10 years of combined experience in a corporate security and a local, state or federal law enforcement capacity. The ideal candidate’s corporate experience would have been with a multi-national company, with responsibility across the personnel, facility and asset protection portfolios.
