Lilly Consultant-Global Strategy in Greenfield, Indiana
The Global Strategy function will be a central team dedicated to the pursuit of the highest business growth opportunities across Elanco. This team is responsible for driving strategy projects that delivers against Elanco’s IPP strategy (Innovation, Productivity and Portfolio) to deliver sustainable growth and value.
The Consultant of Global Strategy will have the following responsibilities:
Enable strategic capabilities across the organization, focused on IPP outcomes.
Deliver results. Lead projects and assessments to drive successful outcomes aligned to overall strategic goals set by Elanco Leadership Team, Sr VP North America Operations and Global Strategy, and Director of Global Strategy.
Stay ahead of industry trends externally and internally to validate top IPP opportunities. Stay abreast to Animal Health trends. Work closely with cross functional team members to assess the potential financial and non-financial benefits of diverse IPP strategic opportunities.
Execute. Bring strategic and project-driven solutions to reality. Accountable for ensuring that the promise of strategic and related financial benefits are realized through the coordinated implementation of decisions and recommendations with key stakeholders.
Collaborate as a strategic subject matter expert. Develop roadmaps or “blueprints” which bring the right disciplines together to maximize project outcomes in the minimal amount of time required. Contribute subject matter expertise from own professional background and as well as knowledge and experience acquired through training and experience in corporate strategy.
Communicate to team members, stakeholders, and executives as directed. Own the message set and communication plan for each assigned strategic project. Ensure key stakeholders receive up-to-date messages and credible communications on strategic project status and outcomes. Partner with internal colleagues that touch strategy work; collaborate with extended strategy team.
MBA, Masters degree or PhD preferred
Proven track-record of organizing, developing, and executing business growth strategy projects that deliver outstanding results
Proven ability to frame clear strategic choices to achieve long term and short term wins
High learning agility. Ability to dig in quickly into any specific business or functional areas and understand key value drivers and insights that deliver value
Systems thinker. Demonstrated ability to connect the dots, internally and externally, understands implications and consequences of options and decisions

Proven experience influencing constituents without formal authority to adopt improvements, changes to status quo
Broad, cross-functional knowledge of the business
Strong financial acumen and/or background in Finance
Lean Six Sigma Champion, Black Belt or Green Belt experience
Global working experience
Background in customer engagement/experience
