Lilly Director-Companion Animal Product Dev in Greenfield, Indiana
This role contributes to the global development of New Animal Health Products by developing and registering novel animal health products for use in companion animals with an emphasis on products that prevent, control, and/or treats parasites in or on companion animals.
Deliverables include providing strategy and resourcing for companion animal health products being developed; ensuring that appropriate study design, protocol development, study execution data analysis and summarization of results in study reports, white papers, patents and publications; ensure that scientific and business strategy are aligned; oversee and manage budget and project timelines. Provide leadership to all companion animal product and research personnel by coaching for success and improvement, encouraging employee growth, developing leaders at all levels, and creating a motivating environment.

Key Technical Responsibilities
Recruits, manages, and develops supporting staff to ensure appropriate studies are designed and executed for the development and registration of novel companion animal health products.
Ensure appropriate training has been completed prior to performing job related tasks.
Provide technical expertise and guidance regarding product development.
Has knowledge of the product development process and cross-functional responsibilities.
Collaborates with team members regarding strategic planning, sourcing and utilization of third party contract research and internal research facilities.
Collaborates with team members regarding regulatory submissions.
Work with Business Development to evaluate potential new opportunities
Advanced project planning skills and track record on leading multiple projects and solving complex issues
Experience developing and registering novel animal health products for use in companion animals that prevent, control, and/or treats parasites in or on companion animals
May be in a laboratory setting, that includes work with potentially hazardous materials or allergens.
Domestic and international travel required, approximately 25%.

DVM or PhD degree
10 years of R&D experience with broad understanding of drug development, including, study conduct and regulatory submissions in US & EU.
