Lilly Manager-PPM & MAT QA in Greenfield, Indiana



The Quality Leader is responsible for providing leadership and operational management of the Global PPM QA team; ensuring appropriate representation and participation of QA in the global MAT.

The Quality Leader will act with integrity and proactively partner with their Elanco colleagues to gain strategic and competitive advantage while ensuring that the Global PPM operations and global processes such as MAT consistently provide compliant, quality services and support to their customers

Functions, Duties, Task:

  • Demonstrate effective leadership behaviors with all staff, business partners, and customers

  • Influence the organization to effect positive change and greater understanding and execution of fit for purpose quality systems

  • Provide information and processes to facilitate accurate and timely business planning and execution against those plans in collaboration with the PPM business leader, MAT and Regulatory leaders

  • Effectively manage the quality staff with respect to performance management, training & development, talent assessment, retention, and succession planning

  • Provide coaching and feedback to direct reports and business partners

  • Utilize recognition programs appropriately

  • Maintain knowledge of the business, regulatory, and quality landscape for the appropriate business processes and activities related to PPM and MATs

  • Partner with business leaders, functional leaders, and regional quality leaders to create and implement effective and efficient process with fit for purpose quality oversight

  • Provide interpretation of and support for the PPM quality system and ensure its implementation in partnership with key business leaders and stakeholders.

  • Provide oversight and support for the qualification and approval of print vendors and other 3rd party service providers such as art studios, etc.

  • Interact collaboratively with PPM leadership and staff and other quality groups to assure site self-assessments, corporate audits and follow up plans are created, executed, and communicated to management.

  • Identify and implement process improvements that optimize value and efficiency while maintain compliance and mitigate risk

  • Strong knowledge of contemporary quality systems and processes, regulatory requirements, and industry standards

  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills

  • Effective collaboration and communication with various cultures, languages, work styles, and levels within the global organization

  • Ability to set and implement strategy in a complex business environment and convert strategy into team objectives

  • Demonstrated problem solving, quality risk management and decision making skills.

  • Strong personnel and project management skills

  • Previous experience with complex business processes such as SAP, MAT, and global launches is desired

  • Previous experience working through product/brand integrations is desired

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a life-science (e.g. chemistry or pharmacy) or animal-health related discipline is required.

  • A minimum of 5 years of GxP experience in Animal Health or Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance, Quality Control, or a related technical field.
