Responsibilities

The Lilly Diabetes Financial Analyst serves as assistant financial controller for, and a valued business partner to, the BI Alliance supporting Jardiance. This role leads critical accounting and financial control processes for the alliance. The position will also serve as business partner to the Lilly Diabetes Global Marketing and Medical Affairs organizations, supporting all planning, forecasting, and reporting for these groups.

The BI Alliance centers around Jardiance, one of Lilly’s largest and fastest growing brands. Our Alliance contract governs many of the monthly processes and therefore requires a strong controls environment. The complexity of the contract also requires this role to serve as subject matter expert on all things Alliance financials.

Key Objectives:

  • Lead monthly close accounting processes for all OUS affiliates in the Alliance (16 affiliates)

  • Develop rapport with financial business partners involved in the Alliance, including BI colleagues, and respond to varied ad hoc requests

  • Ensure strong controls around accounting and reporting for the alliance and the business unit

  • Attend executive-level Alliance governance meetings as a key financial partner

  • Drive process efficiency and effectiveness to all aspects of the role

  • Partner cross functionally with Global Marketing and Medical Affairs business partners and attend lead team meetings for respective groups as functional CFO

  • Display strong SAP and analytical skills to deliver tools and resources to business partners and the Alliance.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting Or Finance

  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position

Additional Skills/Preferences:

  • CPA, Chartered Accountant, CPA Eligible Or Equivalent

  • Prior risk-management or controls experience

  • Working knowledge of SAP

  • Prior planning & forecasting experience preferred
