Position Brand Description:
This position is a member of the Indy API manufacturing finance team and serves as a key business partner for the manufacturing site’s operational and functional leadership. The primary focus of the position includes monthly reporting, forecasting, planning (long-range plan and business plan) and business decision analysis. Ability to influence leadership and present complex financial information are key capabilities for this position. In addition, this position will be responsible for providing controllership of capital expenditures and execution of SOx controls.
Ensure appropriate financial controls exist for all income statement and balance sheet accounts
Coordinate processes for long range plan, quarterly forecasts, and annual business plan
Prepare and present monthly financial results and explain main drivers of business performance to plant management
Leadership of annual product costing
Financial leadership and controllership of capital expenditures
Implementation of best practices and process improvements
Perform financial analysis for plant operations and provide decision support on operational and technical matters
Leadership of monthly financial closing, including preparation of accounting journal vouchers and documentation
Provide guidance to the site on financial policies, internal controls, costing, and accounting matters
Business partnership, scenario analysis, and other business case analysis for site operations including:
Supporting management and business partners on key initiatives, including expense control, strategic sourcing, materials pricing, and operational opportunities
Working with operational and functional directors for execution of productivity improvements
Conducting business case analysis for technical improvements and other productivity projects
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position
2-5 years of accounting experience
Prior financial planning, reporting, and forecasting experience
Prior experience in Pharmaceuticals or Manufacturing
Strong analytical skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to translate complex financial topics simply
Technical proficiency with MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, & SAP
Demonstrated teamwork and business partnering skills
Must complete ITP for Analyst – Mfg. Finance
No certifications required.
