Make a huge difference at Lilly by building the Lilly brand on campus and helping Lilly advance our diversity recruiting efforts. We are looking for a highly passionate and driven individual to be the Campus Relations and Diversity Recruiting Associate responsible for planning and executing events on our target campuses and conferences to pipeline and attract top diverse students to Lilly. In this role, you are responsible for identifying and developing relationships with diverse student groups, university leadership and faculty. Your goal is to develop a talent pipeline by ensuring that the top students are interested in and prepared for Lilly internship opportunities when they are eligible AND represent internship / Full time opportunities to eligible students.

High-level view of who you are:

  • Able to effectively communicate, build productive working relationships and partner directly key university leaders, faculty, career services departments, student leaders and organizations, key Lilly stakeholders (point captains, functional teams, executive sponsors), and our Global Recruiting and Staffing Team.

  • Have an entrepreneurial instinct to develop and nurture relationships and memorable and inspirational events.

  • Have experience in managing multiple competing projects and priorities.

  • Can credibly articulate the Lilly Brand and represent Lilly and Indianapolis to prospective students

  • Have strong time management skills and are diligent about deadlines and meeting budget.

In this job you will:

  • Be responsible for the campus relations and diversity efforts at 5 Target Schools, and serve as lead/project manager for Lilly’s presence at national and regional conferences as assigned

  • Be accountable for building strong relationships and networks with event organizers, campus diversity advisors, student leaders, key university faculty, administrators and career services professionals to identify and source talent for opportunities at Lilly

  • Create brand awareness so that students know Lilly as an inclusive employer and an employer of choice.

  • Ensure that students are highly encouraged and directed to attend your events.

  • Be accountable for pipelining first and second year students with the goal of sourcing for early identification initiatives (e.g. Lilly Discovery Days)

  • Source candidates across all Lilly functions that recruit on that campus/from that conference by partnering with the respective Campus recruiters and understanding the function’s campus strategy

  • Build passive campus pipeline via diversity referrals, Talent Scouts, diversity student outreach, diversity databases, etc.

  • Create mentoring connections and relationships between top diverse students and Lilly employees.

  • Encourage students to join our talent community/TRM (Talent Relationship Management tool) for ongoing relationship building.

  • Seek input and contributions of key internal stakeholders as it pertains to your event

  • Ensure that your event meets Lilly and university requirements, protocol and policies.

  • Leverage ERGs, alumni and other Lilly employees to achieve results

Additional Skills/Preferences:

  • Prior HR experience and knowledge of HR processes, employment practices and compliance

  • Exposure to campus recruiting process through direct recruitment, campus team participation, intern coordination

  • Able to work independently and in teams

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Demonstrated multi-tasking and time management skills, with closure focus

  • Highly organized, with great attention to detail

  • Flexibility and comfortable with ambiguity are of significant importance

  • Knowledge of recruiting technology (e.g. ATS, CRM)

  • Demonstrated event coordination or event planning experience

  • Excellent written and oral communication

  • Track record of building strong working relationships/ partnerships with line management and being able to influence across levels

  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate situations quickly and make appropriate decisions

Additional Information:

  • Ability to travel up to 40-50% to assigned campuses and conferences and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
