Position Description:

The Associate – Taltz Derm Marketing is responsible for the execution of HCP-focused brand strategy within the sales force channel and implementation of Lilly USA Marketing processes. This position will report to the US Dermatology HCP Brand Director in the Specialty Business Unit. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the customer, some level of marketing experience across channels, knack for creativity, focus on flawless planning and execution, strong collaboration skills, and thrive on being a catalyst for evolving Lilly’s approach to HCP marketing.

Key Objectives/Deliverables:

  • Objective 1: Brand Strategy Development (20%)

  • Customer Experience

  • Understand, monitor and champion customer insights, Moments of Truth (MOTs) and KPOs for brand and identify issues / opportunities in partnership with Lilly Market Research (LMR) and Global Brand

  • Participate in the development of a disruptive HCP strategy that delivers on C3 vision and value proposition, enabling achievement of desired placement

  • Understand prioritized HCP segments and segment objectives

  • Lead and/or participate in development of customer and business plan required elements and materials

  • Message / Creative Development

  • Participate in development / refinement of localized core message elements, segment content plans and integrated engagement campaign to create tailored engagements

  • Participate in global-led development / revision of creative HCP campaigns; review and recommend revisions to the creative expression as needed

  • Partner with Assoc Brand Manager and MLR to understand how clinical data and product promotion regulations and law impact marketing messages and to mitigate risks in promotional materials

  • Objective 2: Brand Strategy Execution (50%)

  • Sales Force Execution Plan and Message Management

  • In accordance with integrated engagement campaign, develop and effectively communicate execution plan to ensure successful execution of major solutions within sales force channel

  • Lead development / refinement of sales force message in partnership with Associate Brand Manager, Agency of Record (AOR) and LMR

  • Understand brand and MCE measurement plan, providing inputs specific to sales force channel, and monitor performance (execution and effectiveness) of sales force tactics and HCP message

  • Based on performance, sales force feedback and market research, adjust or devise course corrections as needed to achieve / exceed planned results

  • Tactic Development and Implementation

  • Lead development of sales force tactics in accordance with segment-specific content plan and in partnership with MLR Team, AOR and Lilly Project Owner

  • Actively participate in development of product claims with the Associate Brand Manager; lead development of claims specific to sales force content as needed

  • Draft tactic briefs, verify appropriate functions have been consulted, ensure deliverables align with brand strategy and meet CIQ requirements, and make approval decision on final versions of tactics, escalating decisions / challenges as needed

  • Oversee development of deliverable / project plans, approve all estimates and timelines, work to solve issues / roadblocks and escalate as needed

  • Develop and lead approval of brand-specific sales force communications and implementation resources

  • Partner with HCP colleagues for their area of responsibility and track and manage detailed budget for HCP team (AOR SOW, MMS, accrual process, etc.)

  • Relationship and Risk Management

  • Foster collaborative and effective relationship with agency / external vendor partners and internal business partners, including MLR, MCE and Lilly Marketing Studio teams.

  • Responsible for understanding, implementing, and adhering to company policies, processes and external obligations, as applicable

  • Objective 3: Sales Force Engagement (30%)

  • Sales Force Communications

  • Develop sales force communication plan to ensure understanding of HCP brand strategy and alignment to channel execution plan

  • Lead MMT in partnership with DSM Marketing Champs to obtain field insight, identify barriers, brainstorm on solutions and drive engagement across their respective districts

  • In conjunction with the Associate Brand Manager, serve as a voice between sales force and brand team as well as monitor the effectiveness and engagement of all sales force champ teams

  • Listen / synthesize sales force feedback / input and partner appropriately with Medical Information and The Lilly Answer Center (TLAC) to provide needed information and/or develop appropriate field sales training

  • Sales Force Meetings

  • Lead the development of sales force meeting materials to effectively communicate HCP brand strategy and execution plans

  • Serve as the key contact for sales training and provide input in the development of sales training plan and materials

  • Serve as the key contact for sales operations and provide input in the development of SBU sales force meetings, ensuring that key brand objectives and material deadlines are met
