Verzenio(s) (CDK4&6 Inhibitor) is priority asset for Lilly Oncology that has recently launched three indications in Metastatic Breast Cancer (MBC) and is in the process of launching in multiple markets outside the US, all in the context of a relatively entrenched market leader. In addition, the brand currently has a large Phase 3 study under way in early breast cancer (EBC), a large market and long term anchor for the brand. This role is focused on deeply understanding this distinct early breast cancer market, competition, the key players, and their needs and building the winning commercial strategy for the adjuvant indication. This strategy must be integrated with the existing MBC global brand strategy to build a cohesive, relevant, and competitively distinct global Verzenio brand that maximizes the opportunity across the breast cancer indications.
The Associate Brand Manager will be responsible for developing the global health care physician strategy for Verzenio in early breast cancer and collaborating to integrate it with the MBC global brand strategy to build a cohesive, relevant, and competitively distinct global Verzenio brand that maximizes the opportunity across the breast cancer indications.
The Associate Brand Manager will be responsible for developing the global HCP strategy for Verzenio in early breast cancer and collaborating to integrate it with the MBC global brand strategy to build a cohesive, relevant, and competitively distinct global Verzenio brand that maximizes the opportunity across the breast cancer indications.
Foundational understanding & strategic implications for Verzenio: Develop a deep understanding of early breast cancer and metastatic breast cancer, market landscape, competitive and complementary dynamics, needs of patients, caregivers, physicians, and payers and embedding that understanding across the team
Patient Journey, integration of all key players, prioritization of Moments of Truth
Foundational document, in collaboration with Market Research
Other resources to ground global and team members in market, competitive and customer understanding
Champion deep market and customer understanding, bringing others along to help them understanding this new space and helping them see the strategic relevance of learning
Lead HCP-focused global strategy and brand development activities as we approach completion of phase III studies and pursue approval and launch in major geographies; including tight integration with Verzenio MBC team & MBC communication strategy
Target Patient understanding/articulation with HCPs
Global Launch Campaign Development
Development of Global Core Message Element Framework to guide all physician communications
Development of the Core Claims Document that defines priority claims and supporting references
Assess & recommend any critical environment shaping priorities that would support the strategy
Affiliate engagement, needs assessment, & collaboration to enable input and internalization throughout communication strategy development and launch planning
Partnership & integration with Medical to provide feedback on customer needs and strategic alignment (Thought Leader/KOL needs, Real World Evidence, Medical Education, Scientific Data Dissemination etc)
Integration with global consumer & payer communication strategies
Develop plan and ensure affiliate/cross-functional internalization of global HCP communication strategy, in the context of the broader Verzenio strategy
Development and roll out of global solutions to regional affiliate teams
Oncology experience preferred
Strong business acumen
Pre launch/launch experience in pharma or medical devices
Prior experience in brand and communication strategy development
Strong strategic, analytical and creative thinking; comfortable navigating and distilling clarity in white space and ambiguity
Desire and ability to dig deeply for rich market and customer understanding and to distill insights and define strategic opportunities and implications
Ability to prioritize multiple, complex and time-sensitive workstreams and work independently
Proven ability to integrate, collaborate, and influence across functions and geographies (Market Research, Medical Affairs, Development, PRA, Regulatory, Affiliates etc)
