The EHR & Health IT Marketing Associate Director is an exciting role on the EHR & Health IT Center of Excellence team. This role will help plan and deliver the rapid evolution of EHR as a marketing channel fully woven into Lilly’s emerging Omnichannel and Next Best Engagement model. It will oversee marketing capabilities for the promotion of brand tactics at scale in U.S. Electronic Health Records system workflows, including concept planning, campaign design, execution oversight and optimization insights.

The EHR CoE is part of the Lilly Value & Access PRA Strategy and Capabilities team. The EHR Marketing Associate Director will lead Team Lilly collaboration projects that include LVA colleagues as well as brand marketers, Omnichannel and many cross-functional partners. This role will also help manage external EHR marketing agency and software network vendors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply and optimize current solutions and partnerships that work within HCP workflows across an extensive network of EHRs.

  • Contribute to the continual evolution of policies and standard operating procedures for the appropriate use of EHRs as a marketing channel.

  • Demonstrate strong understanding of brand plans and major strategic initiatives as the basis for precision marketing campaigns in EHRs.

  • Anticipate, organize and address prioritization needs across brands.

  • Educate brands and cross functional partners on EHR marketing best practices.

  • Understand and apply targeting data to develop the business rules that trigger EHR tactic placements driving extraordinary customer relevance

  • Help establish goals and success metrics, then contribute performance insights and next steps recommendations upon campaign completion.

  • Other duties as required to support the success of the EHR CoE

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field (e.g. business, marketing, communications, science, healthcare)

  • Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical sales or marketing experience, including digital channels

Additional Skills/Preferences

  • Experience developing marketing/communications campaigns from concept to implementation, including understanding of U.S. promotional regulations and MLR review and approval process.

  • Experience working within any of the following industries: biopharmaceuticals, healthcare systems, health information technology (e.g. Electronic Health Records), payers (e.g. health insurance companies or pharmacy benefit managers)

  • Foundational understanding of the U.S. health system ecosystem (providers, payers, health systems)

  • Results-driven attitude with the ability to work under pressure, navigate ambiguity and balance multiple priorities

  • Process documentation and program management experience

  • Passion for crafting outstanding customer experiences

  • Strong communication and listening skills

  • Demonstrated track record of entrepreneurial thinking and related execution.

  • Experience navigating evolving compliance and regulatory environment and related requirements

  • Significant written and verbal communications skills

  • Demonstrated collaboration skills and experience working with multiple, diverse teams and people in the Team Lilly model

  • Experience supporting major pharmaceutical brands

  • Campaign management experience – EHR marketing experience a plus

  • Modest amounts of travel may be required
