Position Description
The Digital Health Platform Technical Lead will be responsible for developing and leading technical solutions supporting one or more Digital Health platforms. You will need to engage multiple teams to define technical requirements, develop designs, and align technology that enables the platform architecture all while meeting medical device regulatory expectations. Additionally, the organization will look to you to be a leader across Digital Health projects influencing other tech leads in how we develop platform solutions following best practices and driving our platform innovation roadmap.
Primary Position Responsibilities
You will develop and drive adoption of platform development standards and architecture patterns across the organization
You will provide technical delivery of Digital Health software components including understanding and addressing risk, privacy, cybersecurity and legal constraints on project delivery
You will align Digital Health technical solutions with Lilly supported technologies
You will provide technical evaluation of proposed project ideas, software changes and future product releases.
You will drive the development and execution of our platform innovation roadmap, including creating working proof of concept models in new technology spaces directly connected to future Digital Health capabilities
You will mentor more junior members of the technical team
You will build effective relationships with key technical resources and architects to influence technology solutions specifically related to Digital Health systems.
You will provide guidance to Lilly and non-Lilly software delivery teams in best practice Agile delivery of software components of Lilly’s Digital Health platform
You will obtain and use knowledge of medical device delivery models and quality system to ensure solutions align with regulatory expectations and meet regulatory timelines
You will obtain and bring to bear knowledge of Digital Health business processes and technology to ensure solution deliveries are consistent with the strategy and roadmap
Basic Position Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED with 10 years of hands-on technical experience with modern cloud and web technologies

Additional Skills/Preferences
Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering, or related discipline
Professional experience delivering software solutions that span the development lifecycle, e.g., design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
Ability to manage and keep control of multiple software development and integration efforts.
Proven technical leadership experience in delivery of software projects
Demonstrable examples of leading software design and architecture
Demonstrated ability to propose new ideas and influence peers
Proven initiative to learn new technologies and seek opportunities utilize what you’ve learned
Practical knowledge of Agile software development concepts and associated implementations.
Experience developing and/or supporting Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) solutions.
Experience with AWS, Azure, and other cloud service providers
Experience with identity management or authentication providers (preferably Okta)
Experience with GitHub
Experience with CI/CD capabilities and industry best practices
Experience utilizing Atlassian (Jira/Confluence) or similar toolsets
High level of intellectual curiosity, external perspective, and innovation interest
