Global Process Automation & Control Engineering (GPACE) is part of the Engineering Tech Center (ETC). GPACE provides automation, measurement, cyber-security, and process control solutions. GPACE is a technical resource for training, standards, capital project delivery, and Lilly’s standard automation platforms. GPACE’s primary customers are global manufacturing and development sites, MQ-IDS (Corporate IT), Corporate InfoSec, and peer groups such as Global Facilities Delivery (GFD).
The Automation Cyber Security role will be part of Corporate Automation Engineering team and will support Lilly facilities globally working closely and collaboratively with MQ-IDS. The position requires a high learning agility and experience in one or more process automation systems with a strong focus on cyber security, architecture, and their supporting platforms and systems.
The primary focus of this role will be as follows: 1) Lead cyber security programs for Industrial Control Systems (ICS) and Operational Technologies (OT) including vulnerability detection and mitigation, risk assessments, technology evaluation and recommendation, and inventory and supplier management on the Lilly’s preferred ICS platforms. 2) Collaborate with MQ-IDS security teams to develop longer-term strategies to reduce operational risk. 3) Develop and deliver solutions to manufacturing sites globally to improve ICS security.
Work safely and continually look for improvements to both people and equipment safety.
Provide corporate leadership in vulnerability risk assessments and communicating to manufacturing site representatives.
Provide corporate leadership to our community of practice for our manufacturing cyber security engineering teams.
Work with manufacturing automation teams and MQ-IT to develop an inventory deliver projects to improve asset security.
Innovation - Bring external and innovation focus, combined with a strong understanding of business objectives, manufacturing and quality processes and technologies, IT/Automation applications and Infrastructure and cyber-security, to define the future state vision for manufacturing.
Provide ICS Cyber Security design to corporate engineering conceptual studies for new systems and sites.
Bachelor of Science Degree in engineering or a related science or Information Technology field
2+ years’ experience in automation/ICS engineering, Cyber Security, or a related Information Technology field
Experience in pharma or GMP industry
Experience in cyber security program management
Experience working with validated systems
Knowledge in Historians, networks, and IT platforms
- Domestic and International travel may be required (approximately 10%)
