We are the New Therapeutic Modalities Pharmacology Team, and we're looking for an energetic, highly motivated in vivo scientist to join our team. This role will be directly involved in a variety of drug discovery projects for various disease targets. You will primarily be involved in in vivo compound testing in various rodent models. We are looking for someone who is a focused and self-motivated worker who is capable of following detailed research protocols with minimal supervision. You will design and perform experiments independently and within team-based environments, as well as interact with internal and external collaborators. Key Objectives:

  • Design and execute in vivo studies that include basic animal handling, compound administration via subcutaneous, intraperitoneal and intravenous dosing, and tissue collection

  • Perform basic molecular biology techniques including, but not limited to high throughput RNA isolation, qPCR, western blotting, and ELISA

  • Analysis and interpretation of these experiments including the presentation of data in spreadsheet and graphical form with descriptive statistical analysis.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in biological sciences with preferred experience in biology/animal science or a closely related field

Preferred skills:

  • Experience in the handling of small laboratory animals including rodents with some knowledge of dissection and tissue collection

  • Additional experience in molecular/biochemical techniques and cell culture would be a plus.

  • Ability to work in flexible, collaborative environment.

  • Able to plan and coordinate methods for in vivo studies and modify procedures when warranted.

  • Oral/written communication/listening skills are essential.

  • Proven track record of scientific excellence and contributions

  • Strong relationship-building and interaction skills with peers and management
