As part of Lilly’s Connected Care program, this key role provides technical oversight for the delivery and execution of the Lilly Connected Care Cloud and associated web portals. In this role, you will work with experts in a variety of fields and assist software development teams build digital consumer health products. This position will report to Director IT, Connected Care.

Key Objectives/Deliverables

  • Collaborate with various subject matter experts, software development teams, and IT operations to deliver medical-grade, web-based digital assets.

  • Lead the direction and output of agile software projects leveraging modern software development techniques.

  • Drive scalable technical designs in adherence with project timelines, requirements, user stories, and architectural guidance within the bounds software regulated as a medical device.

  • Guide the prioritization, evaluation, and recommendation of new technologies and services to reduce technical risk ahead of formal development.

  • Partner with Cybersecurity and Architecture teams to ensure appropriate design and controls exist for secure and reliable global software products.

  • Advise Connected Care leadership on technical matters impacting scope, effort estimation, cost justification, and quality management.

  • Participate in program-level strategic discussions concerning system design and the selection/governance of suppliers and partners.

  • Serve as a mentor for technical personnel engaged in the delivery of Connected Care products and support.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging patterns in Health Information Technology

  • Demonstrated ability to challenge the status quo and communicate technical challenges to non-technical personnel in a clear and concise manner.

  • Ability to leverage sound judgment and pragmatic approaches to designing scalable solutions with complex business needs.

  • Previous experience with Health Information Technology and associated regulations.

  • Possess a strong understanding of agile and waterfall models and modern web technologies.

  • Experience with regulated software development – medical device software regulation

  • Previous experience with development of commercially available software products utilizing web technologies.

  • Preferred experience with the following technologies and standards: JavaScript, Node.js, Angular, AWS, REST APIs, Postgres DB, Full stack development
