Responsibilities
You will be part of a growing and dynamic team of Business Insights & Analytics professionals whose main goal is to help our marketing, sales, finance, and business leadership partners achieve their business goals through data, reporting, and analytics. The Consultant – Data Democratization: Visualization and Training is responsible for bringing Data Democratization to life for LUSA through tools, visualizations, and training. This position reports to the Advisor – BI&A Reporting & Data Democratization.
Key Objectives
Understand Brand reporting needs and develop methods to standardize reporting definitions and calculations across LUSA by coordinating with BI&A Advisors, GOSO, and Brand teams
Work with LCCI to build the data products that feed Data Democratization reporting tools, and establish processes to automate and validate these data products
Build tools and visualizations both individually, as well as through partnering with LCCI, AADS, and IDS as appropriate
Develop and deploy novel methods of visualizing data in reporting tools
Deploy those visuals in the creation of Data Democratization Tools
Act as a CoE for reporting tools and visualization within BI&A – interface with the AADS Visualization CoE and other UX teams/forums to remain on the forefront of visualization techniques
Create user-interfaces that are very easy to use and intuitive, while also containing all the necessary information to enable end-users to appropriately leverage the tools for decision making (e.g. including information on data capture rates, how metrics are calculated, data lags, etc.)
Develop and lead trainings on Data Democratization tools
Work with Lilly Marketing Institute as appropriate to develop trainings
Develop and lead demos and other ad hoc trainings with Brand Marketers and other functions (GOSO, Forecasting, Finance, etc.)
Act as an evangelist for Data Democratization
Evaluate new tools and build SME capabilities in measurement and reporting
Build in automation wherever possible
Troubleshoot questions related to Data Democratization tools
Work with BI&A Advisors to retire dashboards as cross-Brand Data Democratization tools are created, and maintain/update user lists to ensure appropriate access to dashboards
Maintain and update the BI&A website as new tools are released/old tools are retired; make the website easy to navigate, intuitive, and impactful to ensure broad use at LUSA
Basic Qualifications
Bachelors and/or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Information Management, or other quantitative degree, or equivalent experience
At least 5 years relevant work experience and experience delivering data and analytics measurement and reporting

Additional Skills/Preferences
Strong analytical measurement and reporting skills coupled with business acumen, and an ability to think strategically in an ambiguous environment
Experience working with Tableau, PowerBI, RShiny, and other reporting/visualization tools
Strong track record leading and delivering complex cross functional projects
Experience with 3rd party data and analytics
Experience with AWS
Proven ability to rally resources to achieve project and business results
Experience with pharmaceutical sales and marketing analytics
Experience with commercial analytics practices and processes
High level of motivation and a strong desire to find creative solutions to challenging situations
Excellent communication (written & verbal)and interpersonal influencing skills
Prioritization skills
Demonstrated ability to teach complex topics to non-technical audiences
Experience with web development languages
Demonstrated ability to apply all Compliance Policies and Procedures (CPP) and Good Promotional Practices (GPP) and related Federal marketing and promotional laws and regulations in unstructured and fluid situations
