Lilly Consultant-Neurosciences BU Training in Indianapolis, Indiana



The Neurosciences Sales Trainer is primarily responsible for delivering training while providing input on designing, developing, and approving high quality, innovative learning for new and current Sales Representatives and District Sales Managers in the Neurosciences Business Unit. You will own the entire training cycle from launch to on-going home-based and live sessions in Indianapolis. The expected support to existing sales representatives and managers will be focused on workshop development for sales meetings.

Content development will be focused on Neuroscience-specific scientific knowledge and disease state, customer insights, reimbursement, access and affordability, compliance, strategic account management and business skills.

The role requires strong coordination and an exceptional partnership with the Neurosciences’ learning strategist, operational associates, affiliate’s leadership, brand, sales operations, medical, legal, and regulatory colleagues as well as external vendors. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Strategically plan and prioritize work while making trade-offs for maximum impact

  • Shepherd content through the Lilly approval process

  • Support workshop creation for sales meetings

  • Identify opportunities to create/improve sales representative curriculum and lead, manage, and/or assist with projects as needed

  • Evaluate sales representative’s skill level and provide effective coaching

  • Assist the Business Unit in focusing on the Service Value Chain, improving core Customer Engagement and developing content on the agreed capability areas

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 5 years of highly successful sales experience to include 3 years pharmaceutical sales experience
