Lilly Consultant-Search & Evaluation-Immun in Indianapolis, Indiana
The Search & Evaluation function within the Immunology Therapeutic Area is a virtualized R&D group within Lilly that takes an entrepreneurial approach to helping Lilly deliver medicines. This is achieved by aggressively seeking and evaluating commercially viable early and late stage assets for potential in-licensing and partnering activities, and by generating additional value from internal Lilly assets via out-partnering and novel financing models in disease areas of high unmet medical need. Some of your core responsibilities might include:
A key group member in the assessment of partnership/acquisition opportunities
Lead both preclinical and clinical stage asset assessments
Deal team participant as S&E representative
S&E team participant in Due Diligence and pre-due diligence activities
Conference Prep and attendance
Key conference activities for the Disease Area group
Identification of key conferences for group participation and critical activities as part of conference attendance
Conferences activities include: Identifies external parties for meetings, coordinate scheduling and logistics, establish appropriate conference follow-up and reporting on activities
External Company Visits
Coordinates pre-visit materials for Lilly participants
Host of visits to Lilly
Lead a Lilly Team on visit to external party
Landscapes/Systematic Proactive Reviews
Key participant in all projects leading significant number of these efforts
Coordinator, generation of data
Understands requests and data issues that may impact effort
Able to influence effort to achieve best result
Either does data generation or works with contractor to ensure data generation done appropriately
Represents efforts and results to key internal customers
Ensures appropriate structuring of all CDAs
Responsible for working with legal and TA scientists on all agreements
Prepares all Lilly presentations
Ensure appropriate Business Unit and TA slide materials are available and current
Capable of representing External Innovation/BU/Lilly in giving presentations to external audiences at conferences and external company meetings
Key contributor on all projects, leading many efforts
Will be the only S&E Immunology Area group member where appropriate
Provide project updates and results to key interested internal parties
- Accountable for organization and cataloging data
Advanced degree preferred with a strong Immunology background
Previous experience with or knowledge of drug development processes
Project management, organizational, administrative and computer skills
Ability to lead a cross-functional project
Excellent oral and written communication skills, clearly communicate with peers, External Innovation partners, and leadership.
Able to articulate issues and to provide written materials needed for training or various presentation efforts.
Excellent self-management and organizational skills are required. Able to manage working with a large number of different teams/organizations with varying styles, issues, and complexity and to independently handle workload and adjust priorities as needed.
Ability to influence others, to appropriately network across a wide variety of functional components. Partner across broad business partners and work effectively with all levels of the organization.
Flexibility to adjust quickly and effectively to changing business priorities and needs.

External Innovation-Search & Evaluation-Immunology
Bachelor's and/or Masters Degree, preferably in a health/pharmaceutical-related or scientific field with at least 4 years of work experience in drug discovery or development or
PhD with additional post-doctoral experience preferably in immunology drug discovery/development
