Eli Lilly USA is embarking on an exciting journey to transform how we connect with our customers! Ultimately, we are crafting new processes and deploying new technology as part of a larger initiative to deliver the right content, to the right customer and at the right time using AI and machine learning. Foundational to this work is rebuilding the process and technology to create reusable and modular content used within and across marketing channels (email, display, web, etc.).
The Lilly Content Intelligence team has been formed to deploy the Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) as the technology platform to more quickly author, review, approve and distribute content. Initial implementation will focus on Eli Lilly USA brand content but will be expanded as a global platform to drive content reuse. The project is in the delivery phase meaning it is not yet deployed to production, but you will be instrumental in the technical delivery of the solution.
As part of a larger and cross-functional team, The Content Technology and Marketing Automation Engineer will help deliver this new technology platform and become a Lilly technical expert on the Adobe Experience Manager platform and the marketing channels we use. The focus on this role will be ensuring the AEM environment maintains the channel specific specifications to ensure they meet all requirements prior to distribution to our customers.
Learn and develop technical expertise on the AEM platform from the perspectives of: AEM Backend Developer e.g. (Java, Maven, Junit) – 20% ; AEM Frontend Developer e.g. (HTML, CSS, JS) – 60%; AEM Author e.g. (AEM Templates, Content Fragments, Workflows) – 20%
Partner with development team members, architecture and product management to prioritize automating as much of the continuous delivery pipeline for the solution as possible (Dev, Build, Test, Deploy, Monitor, Release, Measure, etc.)
Assist in detailing system functional requirements for validation delivery
Research and maintain technical requirements for marketing channels and tactic types
Partner with UX team to synchronize Lilly Design System with AEM implementation
Work directly with Adobe on technical implementation tasks
Perform source code reviews & maintain automated, source code compliance tests
Help drive weekly technical syncs between Adobe and Lilly
Provide technical leadership for channel Change Control Board
Assist colleagues on technical tasks for deployment of AEM solution (CI/CD, Security, change control, integration patterns with other systems)
Join in agile delivery including story writing and execution
Become the technical channel design expert within the AEM platform
Challenge processes or decisions that jeopardize quality or delivery
- Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of IT experience
Experience working with content design
Experience working within commercial marketing
Experience with developing or distributing email, Web, and Banners Ad
Experience working in Jira and on agile teams
Background in process development and automation
Ability to balance multiple projects and work at a fast pace
Superb communication and interpersonal skills
