Position Overview – Description:

The Identity Access Management (IAM) Services team within our Information Security organization provides critical identity-based services that enable secure, appropriate and timely access to enterprise resources. These services are critical to enabling our global workforce to excel while keeping their information secure.

The Service Manager is responsible for the overall strategy and health of the service, ensuring compliance of agreed to KPIs and Metrics (SLAs, CAPAs, Change, Incidents, etc.) and running daily operations. This person works closely with the Adoption Lead(s), SME/Lead Developer, Technical Capabilities Lead, Solution Architects and Management. This role is also accountable for handling the vendor management and monthly governance of their service, supporting leadership with the financial commitments agreed to. This technical person encompasses and has served in a number of the other roles, with strong customer relationship, organizational and leadership skills. Able to make sensitive decisions in tough situations. Deep technical understanding of identity and access governance and the other services in the space is critical to MADS and large HR Programs.

Position Overview – Responsibilities:

  • Implement and support Identity Access Management and Governance (IAM&G) as a service within our enterprise

  • Understand Identity Access Management and Governance (IAM&G) technical trends and the impact on our current services

  • Evaluate and lead key initiatives, including implementation of capabilities and continuous improvement opportunities for Identity Access Management and Governance (IAM&G) Services

  • Serve as an escalation point of incidents and problems working in conjunction with the technical SME for the service

  • Understand requirements and needs of the business through building relationships with business areas

  • Manage operations to ensure the effective delivery of IAM&G services to the organization

  • Own and manage 3rd Party and Dev/Ops Vendor relationships

  • Lead resolution of complex technical issues escalated from Dev/Ops teams

  • Provide leadership for external vendor resources supporting these services

  • Collaborate with other service areas to gain comprehensive knowledge of infrastructure and integration points across the enterprise

  • Help ensure services have controlled processes and procedures for the installation, qualification or validation, and support of hardware and software that meet Lilly’s Quality Practice requirements, standards, and policies

  • Ensure management of the service and compliance with patching, logging, and other defined security standards are maintained

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 5+ years of work experience with Identity Access Management and Governance (IAM&G) and/or Information Security

Additional Skills/Preferences

  • Work experience in leading Agile teams highly preferred

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to provide clear direction in a complex and ambiguous environment

  • Deep understanding of cloud computing technologies, business drivers, and emerging computing trends

  • Knowledge of information technology (IT) security principles and methods (e.g., firewalls, demilitarized zones, encryption)

  • Knowledge of network security architecture concepts including topology, protocols, components, and principles (e.g., application of defense-in-depth)

  • Experience designing and implementing enterprise security tools

  • Working knowledge of Identity IQ (SailPoint), DB (Oracle and SQL), Linux, Windows, TomCat, JAVA/JavaScript

  • Strong teamwork, self-management, problem-solving, and multi-tasking abilities

  • Ability to design capabilities to find solutions to less common and more complex system problems

  • Skill in developing or recommending analytic approaches or solutions to problems and situations for which information is incomplete or for which no precedent exists

  • Ability to accurately define incidents, problems, and events in the trouble ticketing system

  • Ability to develop, update, and/or maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs)

  • Skill using Agile Methodology/Framework to design and deliver capabilities

  • Knowledge of Cloud-based knowledge management technologies and concepts related to security, governance, procurement, and administration

  • Knowledge of organizational process improvement concepts and process maturity models (e.g., Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) for Development, CMMI for Services, and CMMI for Acquisitions)

  • Knowledge of the organization’s enterprise information technology (IT) goals and objectives

  • Knowledge of information technology (IT) architectural concepts and frameworks

  • Knowledge of information technology (IT) acquisition/procurement requirements.

  • Knowledge of the acquisition/procurement life cycle process.
