Responsibilities :

Lilly USA IT Solution and Insights Services is responsible for driving technology innovation for the US Affiliate. You will primarily focus on data integration and analytic solution delivery. This position will report to the IT manager primarily responsible for solution delivery and innovation.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead solution architectural strategy within the program and projects

  • Lead the technical development and data integration efforts on solution delivery projects within the US Affiliate

  • Stay abreast of tools and technologies to influence IT strategy so that it provides best usage opportunities for business

  • Partner with and influence IT and business team members to drive solution delivery

  • Partner with and influence various IT organizations (e.g. Polaris, BI/Analytics Capability, Vendors) to understand the appropriate menu of technologies and tools, and then leverage for solution delivery efforts

  • Ensure adherence to appropriate quality standards and risk-based decision making for all delivery efforts

  • Ensure successful transition of applications to service management team through planning and knowledge transfer

  • Achieve technical proficiency in the core tools used by the solution services team (e.g. SQL, Force, Tableau, Informatica, AWS, Python etc.)

  • Develop expertise of processes and data used by business functions within the US Affiliate

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and set technical direction for solution delivery projects

  • Understand the key elements of the project related data and business usage

  • Develop technical requirements and solution designs

  • Ensure solutions align with business and IT strategic initiatives

  • Responsible for system testing, ensuring effective resolution of defects, timely discussion around business issues and appropriate management of resources relevant to data and integration

  • Ensure system design and development adheres to quality and compliance requirements

  • Responsible for the system performance and user experience of solutions

  • Execute against the release schedule relevant to the US Business IT Platforms

  • Partner with and influence vendor resources on solution development to ensure understanding of data and technical direction for solutions

  • Ensure successful transition of applications to service management team through planning and knowledge transfer

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information or related technical or scientific field

  • 7+ years of Information Technology experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Relational databases and SQL and data warehousing

  • AWS environment (S3, EC2 Athena, Redshift), its methodologies and processes

Additional Skills/Preferences:

  • Tableau business intelligence reporting

  • Positive, customer-focused, and energetic attitude

  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and investigative skills

  • Expertise with ETL and Business Intelligence tools

  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technology areas (Strong learning agility)

  • Knowledge of Agile Teams and SAFe methodologies, including related tools (such as Jira)

  • UI/UX experience

  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority

  • A high level of intellectual curiosity, external perspective, and innovation interest

  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills, teamwork, and people development

  • US Market Healthcare environment knowledge

  • Project Management experience

  • Data Modeler/Architect experience

  • UI/UX Experience

  • Agile Methodology

  • Travel Percentage 10-25%
