The Deal Development Analytics Associate plays an integral role in helping Lilly become our customers’ preferred company and preserving shareholder health by assisting the Deal Development team in delivering the best possible information to Lilly’s decision-makers. The complex, rapidly changing healthcare environment requires the Deal Development Analytics Associate to be a passionate, honorable, agile learner who’s both accountable and adaptable. In this role, you will actively analyze payer performance, develops tools for Lilly’s deal valuation process, and integrate findings into ongoing strategic decision-making.

Analytical skills, attention to detail, customer service orientation and good communication are critical in buidling and maintaining positive relationships with both internal and external customers. The ideal candidate is ambitious with demonstrated skills in collaboration/teamwork, influence, compliance, judgment, time management, solving problems and building trust.

Summary of Job Responsibilities

  • Actively engage in the development of analytical tools, foundational data capture framework, and payer data stewardship to understand brand performance at the account level. Deliver real-time performance updates to the MHS Business Development team (primary), MHS Account Management (secondary), and other MHS colleagues/Brand teams (tertiary).

  • Conduct post-deal research by engaging Account Management, Brand teams and internal MHS experts, exploring assumptions, and analyzing disparate data sources of past performance.

  • Use analytical skills to identify key variables, evaluate prior deal scenarios, compile input, and craft succinct analysis with strategic insight for consumption by the Business Development team and senior leadership.

  • Align and present by refining presentation pre-reads and supporting recommendations with thoughtful strategic considerations; preparing to engage with leadership and answer questions, and ensure the integration of findings into future deal analysis by the Deal Development team.

  • Design the analytical approach for the integrated PRA strategy of critical product launches, stabilize the tools/process, and train the Deal Development team to execute modeling at the appropriate stage of launch.

  • Steward the MHS Deal Development Business Case Model to ensure accurate and insightful deal valuation with the rapidly changing environment. Work with the Deal Development team to recommend optimal modelling techniques and triage deal scenarios as needed.

  • Encourage confidence and build trust by consistently delivering results.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of Lilly’s and MHS’s vision, mission, business strategies/goals. Understand Lilly’s products and pipeline, the science behind them and how they can bring value to the customer. Know Lilly’s position in each therapeutic area and the supply chain for the continuum of therapies. Understand the broad range of partners and the roles they play. Show knowledge of Lilly’s myriad resources and how to access them fully when needed. Understand Lilly’s compliance requirements and Lilly-required processes.

  • Display knowledge of Lilly’s competitors, including marketplace and customer-specific strategies and goals, competitive products and pipeline, the science behind them and the value they bring to the customer.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of Lilly’s processes and tools.

  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve Lilly’s people, systems and processes. Identify, test, measure, codify and share key findings by following predefined processes, seeing opportunities and implementing improvements.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of customer(s), including the business and regulatory environments they operate in, their business model, strategies and goals, their Master Contract and Amendments and their customers.

Basic Qualificiations:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field

  • Demonstrated analytical experience or coursework

  • Proven Finance, Marketing, IT or Pricing Reimbursement & Access (PRA) experience

  • History of taking ownership and accountability for work produced
