This position will be responsible for maintaining and growing our library of code used by areas of the enterprise to speed up development and prevent duplication of effort. There will be a large emphasis on maintaining code and modules to ensure dependancies are security and any vulnerabilities are address and that customers are secure in their practices when adopting our code. There is also work around maintaining our inventory system that tracks our code and code related artifacts across all of our products.
Key Responsibilities :
This role has five main responsibilities:
Define and maintain the roadmap for a portion of the DevOps & Enterprise tools based on customer feedback as well asindustry standards andbest practices.
Position appropriatetechnicalsolutions within theenterprise, streamlining our portfolio ofmoderntools to align with thecompany’sITstrategy.
Become an expert on the products you are responsible for owning. This includesunderstandingAPI’savailable, how the application is architected from a high level, the vendor’s roadmap for enhancements and upgrades,knowing how users are leveraging the product, metrics and KPI for measuring success, etc.
Champion the existing tools, platforms, services,and processes and constantly work tobring in feedback from existing and potential customers in an effort to increase the value of the products.
Be accountable forthe development of enhancements and improvementsto the products you own and delegate responsibility to the engineering team for technical assistance when scripting orcodedevelopment is required.

The role of the Enterprise DevOps, Automation, and Tools team is to be inspired by the enterprise business needs, supporting the required people, process, and culture transformations. This group brings not only the technology, but also reimagines how technology should be consumed, and then drives the development of processes, methodologies, and services to accelerate time to business value. This role, by focusing on how our employee’s, partners, and customers consume our services is important to ensuring that the IT strategy can be realized, and that our business is ready for the change.
Be responsible for the delivery of projects from the DevOps roadmap. Everything from idea to implementationand including delegation and coordinationwith developers.
WorktoutilizeDevOps methodologiesand processes including automation whenever possible.
Responsibleformaturing theshared code that EDAT have created; helping buildadditional enhancements and maintain the existing functionality.
Drive workable, simple (where possible) solutions with a re-use methodology to promote future reduced “time-to-value”
Accept andevangelizethe DevOps culture and embed within the day-to-day organization activities.
Favorautomation over manual processes and work to transform existing processes to adopt automation wherever possible and sensible.
Engage with customers to determine where they find value in existing products as well as what opportunities for improvement exist.
Deliver end to end projects; from understanding requirements, designing possible solutionswith architects and tech leads, developing the solutionwith engineering,and thentransitioning the serviceto support/operations.
Basic Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degreein Computer Science/Computer Engineering or related field
2+ years working in a software development role or other closely related experiences
OR High School Degree/GED with 5+ years working in software development role or other closely related experiences
Software development skills in NodeJS as well as other languages
Experience working on integrations between different tools via API such as REST,GraphQL, and SOAP.
Understanding of basic shell scripting such as bash.
Exposure to container-based systems such as Kubernetes or Docker.
Familiarity withand comfortable beingAgileand using agile methodologies(Scrum/Kanban)
Prior experience using source code management, such as Git.
Certified in AWS/Azure or other cloud compute technologies
Passion for continuous learning and keeping up with the ever-changing technology curve.
Be able to work within a global team;collaborating with people from different time zones, specifically Europe/India.
Experience working within a regulated environment including withGxPplatforms and applications.
Great communication skills, a passion for working with people, and the ability to listen actively and ask probing questions
Knowledge of microservice architecture.
Knowledge of the SDLC, ITIL, ITSM, and other IT methodologies
Understand the different aspects of the DevOps Toolchain.
Worked with a continuous integration/delivery tool previously such Jenkins/Travis orCircleCI.
Knowledge of Serverless compute
Contributed to open source projects.
Scripted Jenkins Pipelines using Groovy previously.
Prior experience with EKS/AKS
