Position Description

The Digital Health Solution Delivery Business Analyst is responsible for the successful delivery of Digital Health Products by facilitating the agile software development process, eliminating impediments to team delivery and identifying and implementing process improvements. The Digital Health Solution Delivery Business Analyst will also need to develop partnerships across Digital Health and the supported Business units to understand the needs of our patients and how the Digital Health product capabilities can meet those needs.

Primary Position Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, lead, and assure continuous control over Digital Health solution implementation.

  • Proactively identify risks to project success as well as actionable mitigations for those risks; secure buy-in and take accountability for successful implementation of the identified mitigations.

  • Exercise personal influence and forge alignment within & across development team, project stakeholders and management to assure project delivery success.

  • Clearly communicate project issues and proposed mitigations to stakeholders and management with an appropriate level of technical detail.

  • Gather, understand, and analyze the needs of project stakeholders; formalize the needs into a set of actionable business requirements.

  • Take responsibility for project-level quality system (QMS) deliverables and adherence to the relevant QMS development processes.

  • Manage the product backlog with product owner and prioritize features to be implemented in each project release.

  • Effectively manage software development partners and suppliers by providing them clear direction.

  • Evaluate proposed software changes via impact analysis to estimate project timeline and customer impact.

  • Work with the development team to translate business requirements into actionable technical requirements. Ensure technical requirements are consistent with local and global regulations as well as Lilly medical device design control expectations.

  • Use standardized software development lifecycle processes, and drive improvements to these processes resulting in higher project-level quality, efficiency, repeatability, and control.

Basic Position Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, software engineering, Information Systems or equivalent

  • 3+ years professional experience delivering software solutions that span the development life cycle; i.e., project initiation, design, development, testing, deployment, support, and retirement.

  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized for employment in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this position.

Additional Skills/Preferences

  • Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into actionable requirements for software development.

  • Ability to manage and keep control of multiple software development and integration efforts.

  • Understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and how to effectively deliver software within the processes and expectations of those systems.

  • Experience developing and/or supporting Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) solutions.

  • Demonstrated ability to “live in the gray space” -- when process and direction does not dictate an ideal course of action – and make reasonable, risk-based decisions that keep projects on track.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team building skills.

  • Self-motivated and able to work in a team environment.

  • Able to work effectively in a fast-pace, dynamic environment.

  • Ability to understand business objectives and select appropriate courses-of-action to reach the desired outcomes.

  • Practical knowledge of Agile software development concepts and associated implementations.

  • High level of intellectual curiosity, external perspective, and innovation interest

  • Previous experience working in the Pharmaceutical Industry and/or environments regulated by the US Food and Drug Administration.
