Primary Purpose

The Digital Product team is responsible for defining, driving and maximizing the value of the digital products with support from the design and development team. The Product Manager will work closely with the Associate Directors of Product Management to prioritize and refine feature ideas from concept though execution, gaining alignment and resolving conflicts from their respective therapeutic area’s commercial, medical and clinical teams, and other stakeholders as appropriate with an eye towards the consumer experience. Product Managers will take an iterative approach to develop and refine the product utilizing consumer feedback and business drivers and will develop and maintain a multigenerational product roadmap. Product Managers will establish a culture of customer mindset, design thinking, hypothesis generation, experimentation and validation. In addition to working alongside other Product Managers and colleagues, the Digital Product Manager will also collaborate with a variety of DH teams (e.g., design, development, operations, and solution architecture) to prioritize and define the digital product backlog as required in order to meet the needs of our consumers. Having a Product Manager with a higher perspective ensures teams maintain a cohesive vision despite the flexible and often fast-paced nature of agile product development.

This position will report to the Product Management Portfolio Leader – Digital Health.

Responsibilities:

Product Management

  • Maintain and groom the product features backlog for multiple digital products

  • Maintain product scope, release roadmap and digital product profiles (DPPs) to ensure alignment across alignment across the platform elements

  • Prioritize features and tasks to implement based on a framework designed to balance many factors (i.e. level of effort versus market impact, etc.)

  • Refine the product backlog to incorporate consumer related feedback from research, user testing and other sources to direct design and development of active digital products

  • Work with Project Management, Design and Development to ensure hand-off of prioritized features into development

Brand/Innovation-driven products

  • Maintain prioritized product backlogs with an eye to brand and innovation strategy

  • Support the Associate Directors of Product Management in maintaining a perspective on the landscape of innovation opportunities (e.g., scientific, clinical, business, technological, other) and business opportunities (e.g., partnerships, pilots)

Operational responsibilities

  • Communicate status and challenges to leadership in a clear and concise manner

  • Identify and share risks and create and lead effective mitigation strategies

  • Manage vendors that support the Product Manager objectives

  • Identify opportunities to optimize existing processes, tools, templates to improve the quality and expedite delivery of digital therapeutic products

  • Support execution of various Leadership meetings through product updates, demos and communications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors of science or arts

  • 3+ years of experience in consumer software product development leadership and/or backlog management

  • 1+ years of product experience in digital health, healthcare innovation, technical innovation, preferably in a healthcare company

Additional Skills / Preferences:

  • Demonstrated understanding in immunology disease areas

  • Focus on value, outcome delivery and driving programs forward

  • Identifying and resolving barriers to successful delivery across broad contributing teams and stakeholders (e.g. Privacy, Regulatory, Marketing, Quality, Ethics & Compliance, etc.)

  • Ability to translate concepts into tangible products

  • Experience working with large cross-functional teams, complex project teams and innovation projects in a virtual manner

  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and team building skills (e.g., effective coaching and feedback)

  • Excellent self-management and organizational skills. Able to manage a diverse workload, set personal priorities and adjust as needed

  • Strong problem-solving, risk management and decision skills. Able to anticipate and recognize problems, diagnose root causes, solve unique and complex problems

  • Strong business acumen and ability to influence business partners and principles

  • Strong ethics, consumer-focused approach and ability to earn credibility and trust
