The IDAP Dry Packaging Operations Team is responsible for safely, and with a high level of quality, packaging bottles and blisters. We facilitate the delivery of key medicines to Lilly patients! Our team receives tablets, capsules and components as inputs and provides packaged blisters and bottles as an output. We currently support a diverse product portfolio including Verzenio, Zyprexa, Cymbalta, Reyvow, Prozac, Baqsimi, Retevmo, and Olumiant.
The Engineer - Ops Support role collaborates with the Operations Manager and supports the entire packaging operation. This position is key to helping develop and drive safety, quality, and efficiency. This position will provide support for a 24/7 (M-F) operation.
The Engineer will be responsible for providing leadership within the area’s process team, handling projects and process improvements, acting as a liaison between operations and multiple functional groups to support event management, change controls, etc. They will also assist the operations team in the day to day management of the production floor and lead investigations and drive implementation of actions associated with deviations.
Be responsible for and build a strong safety culture
Interact and/or lead multi-functional teams to deliver technical and business solutions
Provide project management oversite and/or input for local and major capital projects
Trained to perform TrackWise activities such as Lead Investigator and Change Owner
Ensure processes remain in a state of validation
Support any improvements made to equipment, processes, or procedures
Assist with and perform troubleshooting activities for equipment
Development and monitoring of metrics
Investigate problems, conduct root cause analysis and implement countermeasures
Potential back-up to Manager
Lead specific activities of the process teams
Develop and lead process improvements
Aid in resolving issues, batch/product approvals, and production schedule execution
Provide logistical support
Bachelors Degree (OR minimum 4 years manufacturing experience)
2 years experience
Technical or science degree preferred
Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, working safely, and accountable for supporting all HSE Corporate and Site Goals
Previous leadership/supervisory experience
Career interests in operations leadership
Dry Product, Device Assembly or Parenteral Manufacturing experience
Must be flexible to attend meeting or support off-shifts (operations is 24-7 M-F)
Occasional Travel may be required
