This position will focus on equipment uptime and reliability. The applicant will work closely with Production, Engineering, Quality Assurance and various other groups to troubleshoot, maintain, perform Corrective and Preventive maintenance, and other process related support activities within the Building, Utility and Process equipment environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide Instrument Technician and maintenance support within IDAP Manufacturing.

  • Should have understanding of HART® and Foundation FieldBus® communications, devices and instruments.

  • Troubleshoot instrument related loops, and programmable logic controllers.

  • Perform calibrations on transmitters, actuators and sensors.

  • Perform repairs on components such as control modules, analyzers and mechanical replacement parts.

  • Participate/Execute IQ/OQ (Installation Qualification/Operation Qualification) protocols on all types of equipment.

  • Execute Preventive Maintenance and participate in cross functional proactive maintenance activities.

  • Assist Supervisor and Engineers to create and improve Job Plans and CMMS data records.

  • Provide accurate, complete, and legible Work Order documentation on both paper copy (when required) and electronically through CMMS.

  • Maintaining a safe work environment, working safely and accountable for supporting all HSE Corporate and Site Goals

Basic Requirements:

  • 4 years Instrument Tech experience in a heavy industrial environment

  • Completion of Post Offer Exam or Completion of Work Simulation if applicable.

  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position.

Additional Preferences:

  • Associates Degree in a Electronics Engineering discipline or equivalent work experience

  • Must have a good foundation in basic mechanical and shop skills.

  • Must be able to work in a Team environment.

  • Must be able to provide good documentation on work orders complying with GMP/GLP/Environmental and Safety requirements.

  • Must have a good understanding of instrument Metrology for all types of process measurements. (i.e. temperature, pressure, flow, level, conductivity, humidity, dewpoint, and analytical type instruments).

  • Demonstrated ability of troubleshooting Instrumentation related equipment failures

  • Basic computer skills

  • Good documentation practices and communication skills (both written and verbal)

  • Ability to work in team environment

  • Track record of maintaining a neat and orderly work area (good housekeeping)

  • Willingness to work outside of your craft, as required

  • Ability to follow written procedures while performing maintenance activities

  • Experience in providing a high-level of customer service
