Lilly IT Analyst Apprentice - Technical Pathways in Indianapolis, Indiana

The Technical Pathway Program is an 18-24-month intensive fixed duration (FDE) professional development program during which the apprentice receives a combination of formal training, on-the-job learning, and mentoring in a key functional area to be equipped to compete for a Lilly position after successful completion of the apprenticeship.

This position will serve as an IT Analyst Apprentice for the Information and Digital Solutions (IDS) across various business functions.

As a Lilly IT Analyst Apprentice, you will:

• Take on a project based on your interests

• Understand your business area and anticipate future needs

• Respond to customer requirements using your business and technical knowledge

• Propose solutions and influence business decisions

• Manage your own priorities and allocation of time to meet deadlines

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure systems consistently meet high-quality pharma quality standards

  • Assist with testing and validation documentation for IT Manufacturing, Development, and Research, potentially including laboratory computer devices

  • Managing “Service Now” tickets queue of incidents and requests as needed

  • Basic troubleshooting of computer systems and software applications

  • Performing other technical duties and projects as assigned

  • Build relationships with key Business Partners and Technical Leads to understand test scripts and work to update as necessary

  • Work with vendors to find solutions for any failures or barriers

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Graduate/GED

  • Two-year technical degree OR equivalent Information Technology (IT) experience

  • Understanding of computer systems development lifecycle from development to support

  • Fundamental knowledge of computer systems, Windows Operating Systems, integrated technologies, and cybersecurity

Additional Skills/Preferences

  • At least one year of technical support experience

  • Demonstrate problem-solving service skills with a team focus

  • Strong follow-through and communication skills with customers

  • Good interpersonal and effective verbal, and written skills

  • Ability to multi-task, juggle short deadlines, and manage priorities

  • Expected to pay close attention to details

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders

  • Ability to work independently or within a group

  • Adhere to all training, safety, and environmental guidelines that promote compliance in all areas
